Sofia Vergara and her fiance Nick Loeb have split for the second time.

The "Modern Family" star took to Twitter and WhoSay late Friday night to share the news with her fans.

"Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtful drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have decided to be apart," she wrote.

"We have been having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together and because of my work and now his, its been getting worse and worse. Not fun anymore," she added. "We are still very close but we believe it's the best thing for us right now."

Vergara and her businessman beau started dating back in 2010. They split up back in May 2012 but reconnected and got engaged two months later during a birthday trip to Mexico.

The 41-year-old actress has a 21-year-old son, Manolo, with ex husband, Joe Gonzales.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Roast Legendary Comedian Don Rickles

When Tina Fey was on Late Night with Seth Meyers earlier this month, she revealed that she and Amy Poehler had been a late addition to Spike TV’s “One Night Only” tribute to comedy legend Don Rickles, presumably after the network realized its all-star line included David Letterman, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart and Jimmy Kimmel among others, but no women.

Now, Spike has released the first clip of Fey and Poehler’s joint set before the special airs next Wednesday, May 28. In the clip, the two comedians poke fun at both Rickles and the fact that they were the only female comics invited to the boy’s club event.

“We are here tonight to celebrate Don Rickles,” Fey began. “And honestly, it’s almost like he’s here with us.” When Poehler pointed out the 87-year-old Rickles in the audience, Fey said, “Jesus, I thought that was somebody’s purse.”

According to Poehler, Spike “thought it would be important for Don to be honored by at least one woman, which is apparently what we count as.”

Cannes got a dose of REAL movie star glamour over the past two days when the legendary Sophia Loren came to town for a special screening of her new film, The Human Voice Tuesday night at Salle du Soixantieme and a two hour “Master Class” at the Bunuel on Wednesday afternoon.

The film, based on the Jean Cocteau play and basically a one woman show finding her running a gamut of emotions while on the phone, is a 25-minute short directed by son Edoardo Ponti that gives the 79-year-old actress one of her meatiest and most emotional roles in years, a real reminder that once a star, always a star. 

It preceded a stunning 50th anniversary 4K restoration premiere of 1964′s wonderful Marriage Italian Style, one 14 collaborations with director Vittorio De Sica and co-starring 12-time leading man Marcello Mastroianni. The film brought Loren her second (and last) Best Actress Oscar nomination, and it still holds up today. The audience gave her a 5-minute ovation at the end of the short , and again at the end of the feature, moving her, from my vantage point directly across the aisle, to tears.

President Obama Takes a Surprise Stroll Through D.C. Streets

You can almost read the bystanders' minds.

 Who's that tall presidential-looking fellow, surrounded by a crew of armed men and women who look like they've never cracked a smile in their entire lives? "Say... honey?"

President Obama took a stroll through the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday morning, en route to a meeting at the Department of the Interior. Along the way, he stopped to shake hands with a few tourists and locals who happened to be in the right place at the right time.

"The bear is loose," Obama joked.

One gentleman, an obvious fan, approached the president and shook his hand. A bit later, Obama walked past a couple sitting on a bench. Referencing the parade of photographers, Obama said, "Bet you didn't expect to have all these people [taking pictures]." The man joked back, "It's for my birthday." Obama wished him a happy birthday, asked where he's from (Israel) and then asked the man to tell everybody back home that he says hello.

Katharine McPhee has officially split from husband Nick Cokas, People confirms.

"After six years of marriage, and having been separated for the past year, Katharine McPhee has filed for a dissolution of marriage from Nick Cokas. The two have an amicable relationship and will remain friends. They ask that people respect their privacy during this time," her rep said in a statement.

The pair have been estranged since last year.

The Smash actress found herself in the center of controversy when she was photographed this past spring kissing director Michael Morris, who is married to Mary McCormack. The American Idol alum's affair wasn't the cause of her marriage crumbling, though.

"It was just time. They'd grown apart and weren't right for each other anymore," a source told the magazine.

Rihanna better run for cover ... because she just made Charlie Sheen's s**t list in the worst way possible -- after rejecting Charlie's request to introduce his fiancee to the singer.

Charlie said he was there celebrating the birthday of his fiancee Scottine (formerly Brett Rossi) ... and when he found out Rihanna was there too, he sent a request to the singer's table for a meet-and-greet ... because Rossi's a big fan.

But Charlie says his request was DENIED -- "there were too many paps outside" -- and now, the Warlock is back with a vengeance.

Michael Jace Charged With Murder

Michael Jace has just been charged with murder after cops say he shot and killed his wife Monday night.

51-year-old Jace -- who starred in "The Shield" -- now faces 50 years to life in state prison if convicted.

As we reported, Jace himself called 911 after the shooting inside his L.A. home, telling police he was the one who pulled the trigger. Jace's wife April was already dead by the time police arrived.

Jace's two young sons were at home at the time of the alleged murder. According to police, the boys are now living with relatives.

Jace is currently being held on $2 million bail. He's scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

Beyonce And Jay Z To DIVORCE, Report Claims

Beyonce and Jay Z are headed for divorce, Life & Style reports.

The couple are supposedly facing a $1 billion split, as well as a nasty custody battle over daughter Blue Ivy.

Among the issues in their strained union? "His nights with other women" and "explosive fights and insane jealousy", according to the mag cover.

The pair are apparently trying to keep the separation quiet for the time being.

This doesn't look good for their joint "On the Run" tour this summer.

Jay Leno Says He's Enjoying Retirement

After two decades of hosting "The Tonight Show," Jay Leno says his transition into retirement has been seamless.

Without the daily grind of hosting NBC's popular late-night show, Leno said he feels "liberated" to travel and invest more in his standup routines.

"Write joke. Tell joke. Get check. It's pretty simple. It's not a hard plan," he joked in an interview with The Associated Press.

This week he made his first trip to Israel, where he will host an award ceremony Thursday honoring former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg for his philanthropic efforts.

Leno is to perform in front of Bloomberg, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other dignitaries at the first Genesis Prize ceremony in Jerusalem. Leno said both men would be fair game for playful jokes. The 64-year-old Leno retired in February and was replaced by former "Saturday Night Live" star Jimmy Fallon.

"He's a great friend of mine and I think he is doing a terrific job," Leno said Wednesday. "At some point you realize it is time to step down ... I'm having a good time now."

Crackle Renews Seinfeld's 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' Show

Jerry Seinfeld will continue to tool around in fancy cars, chatting with celebrities and drinking coffee for four more seasons. The digital entertainment channel Crackle announced Wednesday that the hit online series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" has been renewed for Seasons 6, 7, 8 and 9.

Currently, three seasons of the series, which features Seinfeld taking a different celebrity out for coffee in a different car in each episode, have been released. Seasons 4 and 5 will become available online this summer and fall, respectively.

The new seasons are all sponsored exclusively by Acura, making the series branded content, but it has done well for itself with awards, including a Bronze Telly award for branded content and three Webby Awards, including a special Webby for comedic performance.

In addition to the renewal of Seinfeld's series, Crackle announced over 100 episodes of original programming at the network's Digital Content Newfront presentation.

Pat Sajak Calls Global Warming Activists ‘Unpatriotic Racists’

Game show host Pat Sajak caused a major uproar in social media circles on Tuesday, writing on Twitter that “global warming alarmists are unpatriotic racists knowingly misleading for their own ends.”

The longtime “Wheel of Fortune” host has been outspoken about his political views for several years, and has donated thousands of dollars to Republican candidates, but his opinions have never before really interfered with his day job.

First posted on Monday, the hyperbolic attack was a trending topic on Twitter by late afternoon and has been picked up by major news organizations, including The Washington Post.

Left-leaning website The Raw Story pointed out that Sajak has been a longtime critic of climate-change science and has written about the issue in the conservative publication Human Events. 'The Shield' Actor Michael Jace Charged In Wife's Shooting Death

Michael Jace, who played a Los Angeles cop in TV's "The Shield," has been arrested in the fatal shooting of his wife, police said Tuesday.

April Jace, 40, was found shot to death in her south Los Angeles home by police called there to investigate a shooting, Los Angeles Police Detective Lyman Doster said.

Jace, 51, called 911 to report that his wife had been shot, Detective Dean Vinluan said, adding that he "was on the phone with the operator." Neighbors who heard gunshots also called 911, he said.

"At this moment the motive of the murder is believed to be domestic violence," a police news release said.

Investigators detained Jace at the couple's Hyde Park area home Monday night and booked the actor on a homicide charge early Tuesday, according to sources.

Jace was booked into a Los Angeles jail with bail set at $1 million.

Rumor: Original Star Wars Films Being Prepped For Blu-ray

Rumors about the original Star Wars films coming to Blu-ray have been around for years, but a new one that emerged last week is forcing even some traditional skeptics to speculate that before Episode VII arrives in theaters there is a good chance that Disney will somehow manage to bring peace to the galaxy.

The latest rumor comes from our friends over at Bleeding Cool, who have apparently intercepted an email from Disney's marketing department confirming that the studio is planning to re-release A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi in their original form on Blu-ray.

We do not know how credible this rumor is, but if Disney is indeed planning such releases, having them on the market before Episode VII opens in theaters across the U.S. would make perfect sense.

‘The Godfather’ Cinematographer Gordon Willis Dies at 82

Influential cinematographer Gordon Willis, whose photography for “The Godfather” series and Woody Allen’s “Annie Hall” and “Manhattan” helped define the look of 1970s cinema, has died, according to his close associate Doug Hart’s Facebook page. He was 82.

Willis  was known as the Prince of Darkness for his artful use of shadows, and he was the director of photography on seminal 1970s films including  “Klute,” “The Paper Chase,” “The Parallax View” and “All the President’s Men.”

He received an honorary Academy award in 2009 at the first Governor’s Awards ceremony.
Among the other Woody Allen films he shot were “Interiors,” “Stardust Memories,” “Broadway Danny Rose,” “The Purple Rose of Cairo” and “Zelig,” for which he was Oscar-nommed. His other Oscar nomination was for “The Godfather III.”

Regarding his work on “The Godfather,” Variety wrote in 1997, “Among “The Godfather’s” many astonishments, the photography by Gordon Willis — a rich play with light and shadow — confirmed Willis’ genius but was especially striking as an extension of Francis Ford Coppola’s creative intelligence. “

Michael Jackson Hologram at Billboard Music Awards

Chalk it up as one of the biggest spoilers in music history: After teasing everyone with news that none other than the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, would provide some form of "world premiere experience" at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, the show's producers found their bubble unceremoniously popped. An unexpected lawsuit revealed that the "experience" would be, as some predicted, a hologram of the singer "live" onstage, performing music from his posthumous recent release XSCAPE.

Well, so much for the suspense. And, not that fans were expecting an actual resurrection of the superstar, or anything (however, in this day and age of increasingly bar-set-higher awards shows, who knows?). Still, the crowd Sunday night was notably silent when the hologram-ed Jackson was was revealed, in energetic fine form performing XSCAPE's "Slave to the Rhythm" and delivering some of (the real) Jackson's best-known and loved dance moves, including a moonwalk.
