Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Home Entertainment have announced the Blu-ray release of director Peyton Reed's Ant-Man, which stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña and Judy Greer. The size-altering superhero action/comedy marks the final Phase II film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and arrives via 2D and 3D Blu-ray combo packs on December 8th.
Official Synopsis: The latest evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang (Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
Lilly co-stars as Pym's daughter, Hope Van Dyne, alongside Stoll as the film's villain, former Pym protégé Darren Cross (aka Yellowjacket). Peyton Reed is directing from a script written by Adam McKay, Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer, based on a story and initial screenplay by Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish. Kevin Feige is producing. Russell Carpenter is the film's cinematographer.
