TNT Cancels ‘Dallas’ After Third Season

 

TNT has canceled “Dallas” following its third season, the network announced Friday.

“TNT has decided not to renew ‘Dallas.’ We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series,” said a TNT Spokesperson.

The series recently wrapped its third season by killing Jesse Metcalfe’s Christopher Ewing, a shock move that didn’t translate to a ratings bump. The revival debuted to 7 million viewers in 2012 but ratings have dwindled in subsequent years, with the Sept. 22 series finale garnering only 1.7 million viewers. The show was struck a major blow following the death of original “Dallas” star Larry Hagman midway through the second season — although his costars, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray, remained with the second iteration throughout its run.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner stopped by Brentwood Country Mart on Friday afternoon, and while Ben wasn't in the best mood, Jen was beaming when the two walked back to their car.

Ben hit the gym hard for his Batman role, and Jen revealed the other day that even she is blown away by his bulkier physique. "You know, he has put on 30 pounds of muscle and he's eight percent body fat," Garner said on Live! with Kelly and Michael the other day. "He looks pretty good. It's a little bit like, 'Whoa! Who are you?' It feels like I'm having an affair. But I don't mind, I'm not complaining! It's fine."

It was just another day for Jennifer Lopez, who looked extremely stunning in not an array of sexy outfits while on set on American Idol in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The 45-year-old entertainer's mogul ex, who she still calls Puff recently gushed about Lopez's figure while watching her Booty music video.

“Oh my God, oh my God! I am so lucky to have that great woman in my history,” Diddy said. “[Her booty] is great. It’s a work of art. It’s something that will go down in history. Also her talent, her drive, her determination.” What a ringing endorsement!

He also added that Kim Kardashian couldn't hold a candle to Lopez's derriere! Her response? Classic J.Lo.

"As much as he roots for me and as proud as he is of me and of the time we had together, I, I am just as proud to see what he's done," the Idol judge said in an interview. George Clooney And Amal Alamuddin Honeymoon In The Seychelles

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin may be trying to keep their honeymoon location secret, but they still can't hide.

The couple are vacationing in the Seychelles islands at the North Island resort.

George and Amal wrapped up their four-day wedding in Venice, Italy on Monday after their civil service and jetted off to an unknown location for their first vacation together as husband and wife. But sources have tracked the newlyweds to the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean.

The luxury North Island resort has hosted Clooney's pals Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Bill Gates and other superstars. The resort is made up of 11 villas, each one more than 5,000 square feet. Each villa has its own plunge pool and the resort itself is accessible only by helicopter.

Charlie Sheen Calls The Dental Technician A Desperate "Troll"

Charlie Sheen just lashed out at the dental technician who accused him of going after her boss with a knife while allegedly high on rock cocaine, calling her "a jobless, washout traitor."

The LAPD is investigating Charlie after the technician told them Charlie attacked her last week while he sat in a dental chair. She claims his security guard told the dentist Charlie was high on rock cocaine and says Charlie went after the dentist with a knife.

Charlie is furious, giving sources a message for her, saying,

"Hey cholesterol pants: Maybe you should have taken the crack you so brazenly and ignorantly accused me of being on, and sold it! Now that you're a jobless washout and a traitor, you're gonna need the extra dough ... lick those food stamps, you desperate troll.  C."

Fact is, her story doesn't make a lot of sense. The dentist denies her story and fired her because she blabbed about Charlie coming in, which violates HIPAA. And it makes NO sense Charlie's security guy would blurt out he was high on rock cocaine.

Jennifer Lawrence hit the gym in Brentwood on Wednesday afternoon. After her naked photo scandal (which came just weeks after the news that she was dating newly single Chris Martin), she's definitely been playing a game of catch me if you can with photogs.

J. Law may not look red carpet ready here, but Glamour just gave the 24-year-old actress the number one honor on their Best Dressed Women of 2014 list. Fellow Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o nabbed the number two spot, Kristen Stewart came in third, Emma Watson came in fourth and Blake Lively is number five on the annual list.

Kate Winslet On Leonardo DiCaprio: "He Always Saw Me As One of the Boys," We Never "Snogged"

More than 16 years after the release of Titanic, Kate Winslet opened up about her on-screen love Leonardo DiCaprio, and whether anything romantic ever went down between the two off camera.

"I think the reason that friendship works is because there was never any romantic thing," Winslet, 38, told Marie Claire UK for a November issue cover story interview.

Winslet and DiCaprio appeared in Titanic in their early 20s, playing the star-crossed lovers Rose and Jack aboard the doomed ship. Though they've voiced their affection for one another multiple times in the years since — DiCaprio even walked her down the aisle at her 2012 wedding to husband Ned Rocknroll — Winslet maintained in her Marie Claire interview that there has never been anything more between the two.

"It's so disappointing for people to hear that, because in the soap opera of the Kate and Leo story we fell in love at first sight and had a million snogs, but actually we never did," she continued. "He always saw me as one of the boys. I've never really been a girly-girl." 

Netflix Partners With Adam Sandler In a Four-Movie Deal

Snagging one of the world’s best-known Hollywood stars, Netflix has signed a deal to make four feature films with Adam Sandler as the streaming service continues its empire building and moves into producing original movies that bypass the usual theatrical release.

Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions will work alongside Netflix in developing the yet-to-be announced titles, which will premiere exclusively in the nearly 50 countries where Netflix operates. It’s a significant move for Sandler, a longtime denizen of the Hollywood studio system — a system wedded to playing films first in theaters, not in the home. He’ll both star in and produce the Netflix projects.

“When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only….Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks,” Sandler said in a statement. “Let the streaming begin!

Charlie Sheen Investigated For Pulling Knife On Dentist

Charlie Sheen clearly doesn't like going to the dentist, because he's under investigation for assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly going nuts in a dental chair in a rock cocaine-fueled rage.

Law enforcement sources say ... Charlie was at an L.A. dental office last Thursday for an abscess. He sat in the chair as the dental technician placed a mask over his face to administer nitrous oxide, when she says Charlie went insane ... flailing his arms and striking her.

The technician told cops she walked out of the room as Charlie's security guard entered. Charlie's personal dentist was there along with the oral surgeon. There was a lot of commotion and the technician says when Charlie's dentist finally came out he told her Charlie pulled a knife and went after him. The dentist wasn't hurt.

The technician also told cops the bodyguard told the dentist Charlie was high on rock cocaine.

Jennifer Garner's Impression Of Ben Affleck Proves They're Just Like Any Other Couple

Jimmy Fallon was lucky enough to get both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner on his show this week.
So, of course, following Affleck's Monday night appearance on "The Tonight Show," Fallon had to tell Garner on Wednesday that her husband gave him a cold.

"What did you do to get Ben's cold?" Garner asked, joking about their bromance.

Fallon shot back: "Probably just shaking hands. How do you shake hands? Do you touch tongues?"
"Yeah, that's what we do. Yeah, yeah," Garner giggled.

The conversation eventually led to a discussion about head lice, in which Garner revealed her whole family got it. "Stars are just like us," she laughed. "We all got lice ... it's making me itchy just to talk about it."
Garner segued into another conversation stemming from the lice debacle, pulling out her best impression of her famous spouse.

Whoopi And Rosie O’Donnell Get Into A Nasty Verbal Showdown On ‘The View’

It used to be that fights on "The View" happened while the cameras were rolling. But hosts Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg recently got into a vicious argument during a commercial break — and now it's leaked out into the open.

Goldberg and O'Donnell are unquestionably the big dogs on "The View," but apparently, O'Donnell doesn't like wearing an earpiece so she doesn't hear the producers shouting that they need to cut to commercial. As the Daily Mail reported, this led to a major conflagration after Goldberg wound up cutting O'Donnell off to go to a break:

"As soon as they went to commercial break, Rosie took the handheld microphone that they use to engage the audience," explains the tipster.

"Instead of talking to the crowd, Rosie spoke directly to Whoopi in the mic that she 'hurt my feelings,' and that she was 'very upset by it' and 'didn't appreciate' what Whoopi had done."

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher just wrapped up their newest production -- in diapers -- sources have confirmed that Mila has given birth to a baby girl.

Mila delivered Tuesday night at Cedars-Sinai --the hospital of choice for many celebrities.

We're told they arrived at the hospital Tuesday around 6 A.M. ... and were taken right to a delivery room.

They came by themselves -- no entourage, no family.

Sources say Mila delivered right on schedule ... and delivered right around the Jewish New Year.

"This fame thing? F*cked me up for a really long time ... I didn't know how to do it; I didn't know how to engage with it; it stressed me out."

The Princess Diaries star also talked about the advice given to her, "People would say, 'You just have to be yourself,' and I was like, 'But I don't know who that is yet!'"

But the 31-year-old has said she's learning to find herself, which involved relaxing and leading a low-key life.

"The thing I’ve learned this past year is to chill out. Life for me these days is a lot about letting the unknown be wonderful, and letting myself feel safe," said the Les Miserables star.

Ben Affleck Shares Fatherhood Stories On The Tonight Show

While appearing on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Ben Affleck gave fans a glimpse into the Affleck/Garner house.

While talking to Fallon, Affleck talked about how his kids aren't that impressed by his Batman role. "Despite the fact that I'm playing Batman now, people would say, 'Are your kids into it?' The truth is, [they're] not,” Affleck explained. “If I was doing the sequel to Frozen I would be a hero. My two older daughters could give a sh-t about Batman and they've now passed that affection onto my son. He's always like, 'Papa, can I watch Frozen?' And I'm like, 'No, dude, it's not on again!"

The film will open in theaters across the nation on January 9th.

Michael Phelps BUSTED FOR DUI Again

Michael Phelps was arrested for driving under the influence in Baltimore, Maryland early this morning.

The USA Olympic legend was pulled over around 1:40 AM in his white Land Rover. We're told he bombed his field sobriety test ... and his B.A.C. was almost twice the legal limit.

Officials just issued a statement saying Phelps was initially pulled over for going 84 in a 45 ... and during the stop, the officer noticed he was hammered.

Sources say Phelps was hauled to a nearby station where he was booked for DUI -- and was eventually released.

Cops say Phelps was charged with DUI, excessive speeding and crossing double lane lines.

It's Michael's 2nd DUI arrest -- he was popped in Maryland in 2004 when he was 19 years old. He struck a plea deal with prosecutors and pled guilty in exchange for 18 months probation.

George Clooney: We Sold Our Wedding Pictures To Highest Bidder For Charity

George Clooney put his wedding pics on the auction block and a tabloid was one of the winners ... but the money is ALL going to charities that he fiercely supports.

George's wedding pics have been sold to People and the British tabloid Hello! Sources familiar with the sales say it was strictly an issue of which mag anted up the most.  People won the North America market and Hello! conquered Europe.

Sources say ... the money will be going to several human rights charities. We're told the lion's share is earmarked for the Satellite Sentinel Project -- a charity that monitors the Sudan for war crimes. Clooney is a co-founder of the group, which launched in 2010.

As one source mentioned... "Every photo in both magazines will be saving a life."

Amal is also featured in Vogue magazine.

Ben Affleck Is Totally Cool With Complaints Over His Batman Casting

After rubbing Ben Affleck‘s nose in the fact that he wasn't able to attend George Clooney‘s wedding over the weekend, “Today” Show co-host Matt Lauer asked the actor about all the haters who were angry when he was cast as Batman in the latest Warner Bros. film franchise.

Affleck, as cool as the other side of the pillow and also immune to these sorts of questions after 15 years of periodic public ribbing, brushed off the criticism.

We have these cultural stories that people have attachments to, they care very much about, the fans have imagined it, they write fan fiction, and they get very into and it and they're certainly entitled to those feelings,” the Oscar-winning filmmaker and world-famous actor said about cranky comic book fans.

Brad Pitt covers the new issue of British GQ, and the 50-year-old actor chats about how he puts his family before work these days, why he's not on Twitter and what he really thinks about Shia LaBeouf!

"I wouldn't say [marriage is] just a title," Pitt tells the magazine. "There's more to it than that." He wouldn't really elaborate more on his recent wedding to longtime love Angelina Jolie, but when asked about work, he said:

"I’ve been slowing down for a while now. And slowly transitioning to other things. And, truthfully, I do want to spend more time with my kids before they’re grown up and gone ... I'm actually very snobbish about directors. I have to say no all the time. 'No' is the most powerful word in our business. You've got to protect yourself… To leave home, it's got to be worth leaving. "Listen, I see a benefit in it. You could, you know, combat the misconceptions of the misquotes immediately. You know, I felt that a lot in my first years. I would have brought some logic to the table, and brought it immediately. But now, at this point, I don't want to bother with it."

 

Amanda Bynes Arrested For Driving Under The Influence of Drugs

 

Amanda Bynes was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning for driving under the influence of drugs.

The troubled starlet was cruising around the San Fernando Valley in her Mercedes when she abruptly stopped in the middle of an intersection on Van Nuys Blvd., catching the eye of a CHP officer who pulled her over and determined she was compromised before taking her to the police station, where she was evaluated and found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. That controlled substance is rumored to be weed, which she has had problems with in the past.

The 28-year-old was booked on DUI and held until she posted $15,000 bail. The She's The Man star has an upcoming court appearance scheduled for Oct. 23, stemming from her 2012 DUI arrest. She is currently on three years probation from the prior conviction, so it remains to be seen what will happen because of this latest offense.

"I’m a big fan of a claw-foot tub for that day when you want to come home and take a bath.”

Kendra Wilkinson And Hank Baskett Bond With Their Kids After His Alleged Affair With Transsexual Model

On Saturday, Kendra Wilkinson and her husband Hank Baskett went to son Hank Jr.'s baseball game, and they brought their 4-month-old daughter Alijah along and took turns holding her.

According to reports, Hank hooked up with transsexual model Ava London, whom he met online, just before Kendra gave birth to their second child, Alijah Mary earlier this spring. "When the news broke, I flipped on Hank and told him to get out of the house," Kendra told People magazine. "But then I allowed him to come back and get Little Hank, because we knew there was going to be this sh*t storm. I had to calm down and really just think logically and figure out what the right thing to do was. I was like, you need to take him and just hide out for a while. But what was so hard about it was that I felt I just gave my son away to the man who'd cheated on his family."

Hank took the couple's five-year-old son to New Mexico while Kendra stayed at home with their then 5-week-old daughter. "It was so gross to me, but I knew in the back of my mind that he's a great father, and is the only one who could protect his son," she continued. "If he'd stayed here, he'd have been hounded. If I took him to preschool, to the movies, I would not feel safe. But giving Little Hank to Hank to go to New Mexico was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life ... I had to just allow him to think he was just visiting Grandma and Grandpa. It was the right thing to do."

Box Office: 'The Equalizer' Impresses With $35 Million

Denzel Washington – Mr. Dependable when it comes to the box office — did it again this weekend with “The Equalizer.” The R-rated action movie re-teaming him with “Training Day”director Antoine Fuqua blasted its way to No. 1 with a $35 million opening and easily whacked last week's top film “The Maze Runner.”

Fox's young adult epic took in $17.5 million and was battling this weekend's other wide opener, “The Boxtrolls,” for second. Focus Features’ 3D animated family film from Laika Entertainment took in an estimated $17.2 million.
