Mark Ruffalo Claims Ben Affleck Came Between Him and Jennifer Garner

 

Mark Ruffalo's friendship with Jennifer Garner didn't stand the test of time. 

Though they were friendly around the time they made the 2004 romantic comedy, "13 Going on 30," Ruffalo said that their relationship fizzled shortly thereafter. 

"We had a great time together!" Ruffalo told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live." "I think we would [have stayed close], but then Ben [Affleck] came on the scene and that was the end of that." 

When Cohen asked if Affleck prohibited Garner from having male friends -- a joke -- Ruffalo just shrugged.

These days, it seems both parties have moved on. Ruffalo is starring in a new movie, "Begin Again," alongside Keira Knightley, while Garner was recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Bobby Womack, Royalty of the Soul Era, Dies at 70

Bobby Womack, who spanned the American soul music era, touring as a gospel singer in the 1950s, playing guitar in Sam Cooke’s backup band in the early ’60s, writing hit songs recorded by Wilson Pickett and the Rolling Stones and composing music that broke onto the pop charts, has died, a spokeswoman for his record label said on Friday night. He was 70.

Sonya Kolowrat, Mr. Womack’s publicist at XL Recordings, said further details about the death were not immediately available.

Sophia Loren To Write Memoir Due In December

Sophia Loren is finally telling the story of her life.

And what a story.

The Oscar-winning Italian actress has a deal with Atria Books for the memoir, "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow: My Life as a Fairy Tale." The publisher announced Thursday that the book is scheduled for Dec. 2. The 79-year-old Loren is expected to write about her rise from poverty during World War II to international stardom, sharing her thoughts on Cary Grant, Richard Burton and her husband, Carlo Ponti, among others.

Loren's movies include "Marriage Italian Style," ''Houseboat" and "Two Women," for which she won an Academy Award in 1961.

Shia LaBeouf Yelled During "Caberet" Show, 'Do You Know Who The F*** I Am?'

Shia LaBeouf went ballistic when confronted by security of a Broadway show Thursday night, hurling expletives and screaming everyone's favorite Hollywood phrase, "Do you know who the f*** I am?"

According to the criminal complaint, LaBeouf stood up in the middle of  "Cabaret" and was yelling loudly at the actors on stage, disrupting the performance.

When security confronted LaBeouf in an effort to remove him from the theater, he screamed, "F*** you. This is f***ing bullshit. Do you know my life? Do you know who the f*** I am? Do you know who I am?"

According to the complaint, once he was brought into the station for processing, LaBeouf spit at a police officer ... landing at the officer's feet.

Actor Shia LaBeouf Arrested At 'Cabaret' Performance In New York City

Shia Labeouf was detained by cops after acting crazy in a New York City club, law enforcement sources confirmed.

Shia was at a cabaret show at the legendary Studio 54 Thursday night ... when he was smoking inside -- which is against the law -- and "alarming people" by his conduct by being extremely loud.

Police came and handcuffed the actor and took him to the police station, where's he's currently being processed.

The NYPD says he's been charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

ABC Fires Co-Hosts On "The View"

The View" is cleaning house. Network sources say the cast has been fired... except for Whoopi Goldberg.
 
Sources say there was a meeting at ABC late Thursday afternoon and they announced Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy were out.  Sources also added that executive producer Bill Geddie also will not be coming back.

Maybe not coincidentally, Barbara Walters is scheduled to be on the show Friday (though it did tape on Wednesday).

"The View" has been in turmoil since Jenny was hired, it messed up the chemistry on the show.

And several sources say there's a real chance Rosie O'Donnell will be coming back. Producers also mentioned that they are "very interested" in Laila Ali.

The show is interested in Ross Mathews and Jesse Palmer.

Jenny tweeted late Thursday, "My View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year."

Reese Witherspoon has listed her Brentwood mansion for $10.5 million, along with an adjacent property for an additional $3.5 million. Hank Baskett Cheating: He Reportedly Ditched Pregnant Kendra Wilkinson For Affair With Transsexual

Hank Baskett and Kendra Wilkinson could be headed for divorce after the former NFL player was allegedly caught in an affair with a transsexual.

This weekend reports emerged that Hank had left the family home and went to a hotel. He reportedly stayed there for “several hours,” chatting with two friends there, but it’s not clear if Hank stayed the night. Reports did day he went home at least for a few hours, but it was unclear if he remained at his home or went back to the hotel.

A new report from Radar Online may shed light on just why Hank was stepping out on his Playboy playmate wife. Sources tell the site that Hank Baskett has been secretly meeting with a transsexual for an affair, one that started when Kendra was 8 months pregnant.

“Hank first met up with the woman around April 22 in Sherman Oaks, California,” an insider reveals. “He called her twice before they met in person. He said he’d seen her YouTube videos online, and he couldn’t believe that her photos were real.”

First Look At Brad Pitt And Shia LaBeouf In 'Fury' Trailer

The first trailer for the upcoming World War II film Fury starring Brad Pitt. The film also stars Shia LaBeouf, Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal, Scott Eastwood, and Logan Lerman, and it's directed by David Ayer, who has directed films like End Of Watch and Training Day.

According to a plot synopsis, "As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. David Beckham And Tom Cruise Grab A Pint In Notting Hill

Tom Cruise and David Beckham enjoyed a pint (and some red wine it seems) in a local Irish pub in London's fashionable Notting Hill district.

Bar patron Lisa Freid took a sleuthy snap and posted it to Instagram with the caption, "#wtf #justnexttous #chilling."

The 51-year-old actor and the 39-year-old footballer, who have been friends since 2003, had a bottle of wine in front of them. Tom had a glass of water and Becks sipped on a pint of Guinness.

The American and the Brit became close in 2007 after David got signed by the LA Galaxy and he his wife Victoria moved to the City of Angels.

The father of four told Sunday Times magazine that he and the Mission: Impossible actor often had a movie night together. "When we were living in LA, Tom Cruise lived two minutes away. He's a good friend. There were occasions when I'd call him up and ask him if he had a new movie that wasn't out yet, and I'd go round and watch it with him."

Diane Sawyer To Step Down From ABC's 'World News,' David Muir To Take Over

 

After five years in the World News anchor chair, Diane Sawyer will step down in the September, clearing the way for David Muir, who anchors the program's weekend edition, to assume her role.

Sawyer, 68, an ABC News star who previously anchored Good Morning America and newsmagazine Primetime and who has conducted some of the news division's most-watched interviews, will head her own unit and continue to produce and anchor specials.

Additionally, George Stephanopoulos, once thought to be in line to take over World News, becomes chief anchor at ABC News. He'll continue to co-anchor GMA and also become the primary anchor for breaking news reports as well as election coverage. Stephanopoulos quietly extended his contract with ABC News last April, months ahead of when his previous deal was set to expire. That deal keeps Stephanopoulos at ABC well beyond the 2016 election. He'll also continue to anchor Sunday public affairs program This Week.

Eliza Dushku And Rick Fox Have Split

Eliza Dushku and former NBA player Rick Fox, 44, have called it quits after dating for five years, according to The Boston Globe.

"Rick's an LA guy and I'm a Boston girl," she told the paper. "I'd rather be a little physically cold here than emotionally cold in LA," she continued. "I missed my town and I missed my family." The 33-year-old actress said she plans on returning to college, but is unsure what she'll study.

'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' Star Eli Wallach Dies At 98

 

The character actor from Brooklyn was at his best playing banditos in that Clint Eastwood classic as well as in "The Magnificent Seven," just two highlights of his six-decade-plus career.

Eli Wallach, the enduring and artful character actor who starred as weaselly Mexican hombres in the 1960s film classics The Magnificent Seven and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, has died. He was 98.

Wallach, who won a Tony Award in 1951 for playing Alvaro in Tennessee Williams’ original production of The Rose Tattoo, made his movie debut as a cotton-gin owner trying to seduce a virgin in Elia Kazan’s Baby Doll (1956) and worked steadily well into his nineties, died Tuesday, his daughter Katherine told The New York Times.

No other details of his death were immediately available.

First-time dad Simon Cowell has just purchased a luxurious $10.8 apartment in New York City for his baby mama Lauren Silverman.

The couple, who are parents to son four-month-old Eric, must wait to move into the building as it is currently under construction. The residence, which is located on East 78th, has floor-to-ceiling windows, a living room with a sprawling, open-plan affair and varnished wooden floors.

The dining room is spacious with large windows, giving the room lots of natural light. The kitchen features gleaming fixtures and fittings, and has a built in cooker, with a large breakfast bar that serves as a focal point.

Justin Bieber In Car Crash After Paparazzi Chase In Beverly Hills

Justin Bieber was in a car accident in Beverly Hills Tuesday at 2 PM PDT ... after a car driven by a paparazzo was chasing the Escalade in which Bieber was a passenger.

Sources say told the Escalade was going very fast on Canon Drive, trying to lose the photog, when a BMW was pulling out of a parking structure near Bouchon restaurant. An eyewitness said, the BMW misjudged the speed of the Escalade and smashed into it.

We're told Bieber almost immediately got out of the SUV and into another car and sped off.

Ice-T: New 'Body Count' Video Is Not Racist

Ice-T says its just coincidental that ONLY white people get shot in his new video.

The song -- "Talk S**t, Get Shot" -- features several drive-by shootings ... and the victims are all white.  Ice scoffs at criticism that the song's racist.

Ice told our photog last night there was a simple explanation ... "They only brought white people for us to shoot."

Justin Bieber Moves To a Beverly Hills Condo

Justin Bieber has loaded up his truck and moved to Beverly Hills, and his neighbors are already pissed.

Sources say Bieber is renting 2 units in a new, fancy Beverly Hills condo building. It's a little strange ... he's rented both a penthouse unit and the unit on the floor below, even though the units don't connect.

Apparently, Justin needed the space not just for him but for his entourage. He moved in earlier this month.

Now here's the predictable problem with the Biebs living in a condo building. The neighbors have already contacted the HOA because of excessive noise and marijuana. And cops have been called twice.

A resident in the building said, "The smell of marijuana was permeating the floor, especially my hallway which is shared by Justin's unit."

Neighbors complained last week of a rager that went on until 4 AM.

Rumor: ‘Star Wars: Episode 7′ Filming Delayed

Everyone who’s been following Star Wars-related news probably saw it coming, but here it is anyway: rumor has it that production on Star Wars: Episode VII could end up being significantly pushed back, due to Harrison Ford having broken his leg while working on the film’s set. Of course, it that does happen, then it raises questions about whether or not Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm will delay the movie from its current December 2015 release date.

This rumor comes from Jedi News; according to the site, “a number of sources” are saying that shooting on Episode VII could indeed be pushed back, in order to allow Ford the necessary time to recover from his worse than originally-reported leg injury. Prior to now, it was believe that Episode VII director J.J. Abrams would be able to work around Ford’s absence, by changing up the planned filming schedule. To be clear, that may still wind up being the plan put into motion; Jedi News, after all, says that a meeting was called earlier today at Pinewood Studios in London, to decide how best to handle the situation moving forward.

We're told this is Kanye's 3rd visit to LATTC in the last 6 weeks (see pic above) ... which specializes in designing apparel.  Today's lesson was all about designers and it lasted 3 hours.

In case you don't remember -- Kanye cut a plea deal back in March -- avoiding jail by agreeing to 24 months informal probation and 250 hours community service.

We're told Kanye has been chipping away at his hours by speaking at multiple colleges.

More Details Emerge Regarding Harrison Ford’s Injury On Star Wars Set

It may be a little while before Han Solo is back in the pilot seat of the Millennium Falcon again.

While it was initially reported that Harrison Ford broke his ankle while filming the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, BBC has confirmed with Ford’s publicist that the 71-year-old actor broke his left leg when a door fell on him inside the Millennium Falcon set at the famous Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire. The incident occurred June 12, and Ford was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

“His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly,” the publicist told BBC. “He’s doing well and looks forward to returning to work.”

Ford’s injury isn’t expected to affect the release date for the film, though reports suggest that he’ll miss up to eight weeks of production while recovering from the injury.

Shooting continues on the highly anticipated film, which has been the subject of numerous leaked photos from shooting locations in Pinewood Studios and Abu Dhabi. Prior to Ford’s injury, director J.J. Abrams confirmed the presence of the Millennium Falcon in the film after leaked images from the set unofficially hinted at the famous spaceship’s return.

Star Wars: Episode VII is scheduled to hit theaters December 18, 2015.

Box Office: ‘Think Like a Man Too’ Parties To $30 Million Debut

“Think Like a Man Too,” raised the roof at multiplexes this weekend, carousing its way to $30 million domestically, according to studio estimates.

The Sony Pictures and Screen Gems sequel premiered on 2,225 screens and cost a modest $24 million to produce. It was able to capitalize on star Kevin Hart’s rising profile as it held off challenges from “22 Jump Street” and “How to Train Your Dragon 2.”

“It’s not bad being number one,” said Rory Bruer, Sony Pictures president of worldwide distribution. “The girls versus the guys element and getting the perspective of both sexes is something that’s always appealing to folks.”

However, it could not match the $33.6 million debut of the first film in the series.

Les Moonves: Congrats to Netflix, Chelsea's Just Too Raw For CBS

 

It sounds like Chelsea Handler was never in the mix to replace David Letterman or Craig Ferguson ... because CBS head honcho Les Moonves says her comedy isn't a great fit for broadcast TV.

Moonves was leaving E Baldi in Beverly Hills on Thursday when a photog asked him for his opinion about the news Handler was going to host a talk show for Netflix starting in 2016.

The always honest Moonves said he thought the move was great for Chelsea because her "material will fit Netflix better" than it would on broadcast television.
