Katy Perry Goes Back To Her Poptastic Roots In New "This Is How We Do" Music Video

This is how Katy Perry does -- and boy, does it look fun!

The campy singer unleashed her poptastic new music video, "This is How We Do," on Thursday. From the over-the-top hair styles to the plethora of outfit changes and dancing Pee-wee Herman back-up dancers, the video is a feast for the eyes. We love every second of it!

Along with the video, the 29-year-old tweeted, “OMG ARE YOU READY FOR TODAY BB’S?! #THISISHOWWEDO MUSIC VIDEO."

The "Roar" singer also wrote, “#THISISHOWWEDO CHILLIN LAID BACK, STRAIGHT STUNTIN’ YEAH WE DO IT LIKE DAT.”

We can't tell a lie -- we're pretty happy Katy is no longer with that sad sack, Broody McBrooderson John Mayer, -- her tasty tunes were suffering under his acoustic coffeehouse vibe. Too many ballads! We like KP best when she is churning out dancey hits and dressed up like fast food.

Leonardo DiCaprio Reportedly Cheered When Orlando Bloom Threw a Punch At Justin Bieber

 

Though TMZ broke the news of Orlando Bloom and Justin Bieber's alleged altercation in Ibiza, Spain, on Wednesday, new developments are still coming to light.

On Thursday, an "eyewitness" from the scene, former Spanish journalist Anastasia Skolkova, told The Mirror that Leonardo DiCaprio was also present at Cipriani — and he reportedly cheered when Bloom attempted to sock Bieber.

"It was amazing," Skolkova told The Mirror. "Everyone stood up and started watching like it was a show and clapping... DiCaprio was flipping out."

TMZ's original report claimed that onlookers clapped when Bloom attempted to punch Bieber. According to Skolkova's account, DiCaprio was sitting at Bloom's table in the restaurant when the fight occurred.

The fight allegedly occurred after Bieber reportedly told Bloom that Miranda Kerr, the model from whom he is currently separated, "was good," thought to be a sexual reference.

Tarantino, Nolan, Apatow, Abrams and Studios Team Up To Save Celluloid

Kodak CEO Jeff Clarke confirmed today that his company will continue production of film stock. The announcement comes after such prominent directors as Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Judd Apatow, and J.J. Abrams campaigned heavily to get the major studios to continue using film stock.

According to The Wall Street Journal, an agreement is being finalized which guarantees that the Hollywood studios (currently Disney, Warner Brothers, Paramount, Universal, The Weinstein Company) will purchase from Kodak a certain amount of film stock over the next few years. This will allow Kodak to continue operating its plant in Rochester, N.Y.

Bob Weinstein, co-chairman of Weinstein Co., commented: "It's a financial commitment, no doubt about it. But I don't think we could look into some of our filmmakers in the eyes if we didn't do it."

Zoe Saldana Bares Her Baby Bump In A Tight Black Dress For Letterman

On Wednesday Zoe Saldana made an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman, and though she's slammed the press for covering her pregnancy (last week she tweeted, "I would like to thank all the f*cking media for invading our privacy"), she was more than happy to show off her growing baby bump in a tight black dress. Funny how that works...

Zoe is currently promoting her new film Guardians of the Galaxy, and the actress, who plays superhero Gamora in the Marvel movie, said in a recent interview that she's tired of being typecast as "the strong woman." Zoe told Den of Geek, "It bothers me that I’m always told that I do strong female characters … It’s because we don’t really know women. We don’t write women accurately. We don’t see women the way that we should see women as a society, as a human race. When you see a real woman, you shouldn’t be saying she’s strong, you should be saying she’s real."

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Announces He's "Done" With 'Dancing With The Stars'

 

Maksim Chmerkovskiy has had his last dance -- at least on the hit show Dancing with the Stars.

The Russian dancer has just announced that his time he's done lighting up the ballroom on Dancing with the Stars.

While making an appearance on The View on Tuesday, he said, "I'm done dancing. I feel like it's time."

The 34-year-old, who left after season 16 only to come back for season 18, explained that things felt different upon his return, saying, "When I came back to the show, it was not the same—I was different, probably."

Stephen A. Smith SUSPENDED By ESPN For Domestic Violence Remarks

ESPN is yanking Stephen A. Smith off the air -- suspending him for the inflammatory comments he made about women and domestic violence last week.

The network says Smith will not appear on his show "First Take" or on ESPN Radio until next Wednesday. During a discussion about Ray Rice's suspension, Stephen A. said he would tell women to make sure they're not doing anything "to provoke wrong actions" ... in addition to telling men what NOT to do.

This morning on "First Take" Smith apologized -- and ESPN released a statement, saying ... “We will continue to have constructive dialogue on this important topic. Stephen’s comments last Friday do not reflect our company’s point of view."

The network continued ... "As his apology demonstrates, he recognizes his mistakes and has a deeper appreciation of our company values.”

Smith's comments also infuriated fellow ESPN anchor Michelle Beadle. She's yet to react to his suspension.

Kevin Smith Blames Jennifer Garner For Ending Friendship With Ben Affleck

After a quintet of films together, you'd figure comic nerd Kevin Smith would be getting Bat-scoop straight from the Caped Crusader's mouth.

You'd figure wrong. Turns out, despite having collaborated on such films as Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997), Dogma (1999), Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001), and Jersey Girl (2004), the newest Batman, Ben Affleck, and his old directing buddy aren't exactly a dynamic duo anymore.

Asked by media on Friday about a potential Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice surprise at this year's Comic-Con — or if he knew whether or not Affleck was even in town — Smith replied: "Great question. I don’t know, because we're not f---ing tight. I have not been [close with him] in decades."

"I have not been [close with him] in decades," continued Smith, 43. "That's old Ben. He's got a wife [Jennifer Garner] that don't [sic] care for me at all [Laughs]. And plus, honestly, he probably don't care for me at all anymore [either]. He's a triple-A-list movie star and s--t like that. If he's Jimmy Carter, I'm Billy Carter, to put it in '70s terms. And I'm not even related and s--t."

This isn't the first time Smith has blamed the demise of his friendship with Affleck, 41, on Garner. Earlier this month, during his a stop on his Silent Bob Speaks tour at Carnegie Hall, Smith detailed his differences with Garner. 

Box Office: 'Lucy' Breaks Out With $44.0M; 'Hercules' Stronger Than Expected With $29.0M

Scarlett Johansson‘s “Lucy” pummeled “Hercules” and Dwayne Johnson in a box-office battle of the action heroes and sexes, taking in a muscular $44 million over the weekend.

The Rock's “Hercules” did better than expected and wound up with $29 million, to beat out two-time reigning champ “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” which finished third with $16.4 million. And one of Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s final films, “A Most Wanted Man,” cracked the top ten in its limited debut.
