Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his New York City apartment on Sunday. He was 46.
The New York City Police
Department have confirmed to sources that the actor was
found dead at 12 p.m. ET in his apartment in the West Village of New
York City. The actor's body is believed to still be in the apartment.
The cause of death is still
unknown at this point, however reports are surfacing that he died of a
suspected overdose. The actor did struggle with a heroin addiction.
Hoffman won an Oscar for Best Actor for his work in the 2005 film, "Capote."
