Michael Jackson's mother Katherine has been personally reaching out to some of the biggest music stars on the planet in hopes of getting them to perform at the MJ tribute show in October.
Sources have mentioned that Kanye West, Jay-Z, Cee Lo Green, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, Usher and Bruno Mars have each received the invitation from Katherine Jackson. She is asking them to perform at least 1 or 2 favorite MJ songs of their choice. The BIG event will take place in Cardiff, Wales on October 8th.
Katherine has promised each star who signs on for the event will be provided with "first class travel accommodations." Pretty nice!
Apparently Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars have declined the invite due to scheduling conflicts ... but, Christina and Kanye are thinking about going.
So far Cee Lo Green from Gnarls Barkley is the only one who officially signed on to be at the tribute concert.
Tickets for the event haven't gone on sale yet.
UPDATE 8/11/11: Christina Aguilera has OFFICIALLY agreed to be at MJ's Tribute show and will be performing.
