Gene Simmons On Marriage: I'll Do My Best To Be Faithful
After 28 years together, rock legend Gene Simmons and partner Shannon Tweed will finally say their “I dos” today, but if fans of “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” think that means the on-screen drama is over for the couple, think again.
“He doesn’t promise to be faithful to me," Tweed complained. “I will do my best,” was all that Simmons had to say about that. But Simmons showed his softer side in a recent interview with “Entertainment Tonight.”
“It is time for me to grow up,” he admitted. “I’m 62. I’ve been doing a lot of wacky stuff for an awfully long time — the band, the thing, traveling around the world and all that. There’s nobody I’ve ever loved. There’s nobody I’ve ever said ‘I love you’ to. I even find it difficult to say ‘I love you’ to my mother, but I love Shannon with all my heart and all my soul and always will.”
The special wedding edition of “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” starts on Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. ET on A&E.
