Justin Bieber is getting a little desperate for attention ... hes now trying to explain how the words "I'm retiring" are unclear.

Justin's people are now saying the singer didn't make himself clear when he tweeted he was retiring ... and that Justin is not hanging it up just yet.

Here's the problem ... this is the second time he's pulled this stunt and he knew exactly what he was doing.

It seems that Bieber is trying in an uncool way to do what Miley Cyrus has been able to pull off -- shock value with some authenticity.

Oscar Nominations Voting Begins

 

Voting begins Dec. 27 for 2014′s Academy Awards nominees. Members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are invited to cast secret ballots for their favorite film work from the past year until Jan. 8, 2014.

The academy is offering electronic voting for the second consecutive year. It announced last week that 289 feature films are eligible for best-picture consideration.

Nominations for the 86th Academy Awards will be announced Jan. 16.

Ellen DeGeneres will host the ceremony when the Oscars are presented on March 2.

'Duck Dynasty' -- Phil Robertson Suspension is Over ... Says A&E

The "Duck Dynasty" war with A&E is over -- the network just announced Phil Robertson is no longer suspended ... and filming will resume in a few months.

The network says their strong sense of integrity caused them to react quickly to Phil's GQ interview ... and after consulting with numerous advocacy groups they made a decision to bring him back.

The network adds, "As a global media content company, A&E Networks’ core values are centered around creativity, inclusion and mutual respect. We believe it is a privilege for our brands to be invited into people’s home and we operate with a strong sense of integrity and deep commitment to these principles."

The network says they plan to roll out a new PSA campaign on their network in the wake of what happened ... promoting unity, tolerance and acceptance. A&E adds, "Duck Dynasty is not a show about one man's views. It resonates with a large audience because it is a show about family… a family that America has come to love."

‘The Hobbit,’ ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ Top Christmas Box Office

Leading the Christmas Day derby, Warner Bros.’ “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” collected $9.3 million, followed closely by Paramount’s newcomer “The Wolf of Wall Street,” which grossed $9.2 million opening day.

The crowded holiday fray has no fewer than eight films bowing or expanding nationwide through Friday, including “Wolf,” as well as Fox’s “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” which landed in forth place on Wednesday, grossing $7.8 million (behind “Anchorman 2,” with $8.1 million).
Also bowing midweek were Universal’s “47 Ronin” and Warner’s “Grudge Match,” which made $7 million and $4 million, respectively.

Neither is a solid start, especially for the former film, which looks to be a big financial flop given its lofty $175 million-plus budget. That said, “Ronin” received a better-than-expected ‘B+’ CinemaScore rating. Pic’s international prospects are troubling also considering it failed to catch on in Japan, where the samurai tentpole is set; it’s made $10 million overseas so far.

Rick Fox Lists Luxury Condo For Just Under $1.4 Million

Former Los Angeles Lakers star Rick Fox has listed his luxury condo at The Remington in Los Angeles for $1.399 million.

The two-bedroom, three-bathroom unit has 1,800-square-feet of living space, but according to listing info, there are retractable walls that allow for “multiple configurations based on your specific need and lifestyle." The condo can have two separate bedroom suites or one large master suite with a private sitting room.

Report: Dean McDermott Cheats On Tori Spelling With 28-Year-Old

While some may have enjoyed holiday festivities with their loved ones this Christmas, we doubt Tori Spelling and her husband of seven years Dean McDermott had such a merry day. Reports have surfaced that Dean cheated on the mother of his four children with a Canadian woman earlier this month.

While promoting his new show Chopped Canada in Toronto on Dec. 6, the 47-year-old invited a woman whom he had met that day, 28-year-old Emily Goodhand, up to his hotel room at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel and the two had sex, Goodhand told Us Weekly.

"He told me he and Tori had a sexless marriage," said Goodhand, who also said she stayed with him the following night. "I believed him."

Well Miss Goodhand -- they do have four children together -- so clearly that's not entirely true.

Reps for McDermott and Spelling had no comment about the infidelity claims.

Spelling, 40, and McDermott, 47, were married in 2006 and have four children, Liam, 6, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 16 months.

Jesse Jackson Phil Robertson Is Worse Than Rosa Parks' Bus Driver

Phil Robertson's homophobic comments to GQ were MORE OFFENSIVE than the words uttered by bus driver who tried to force Rosa Parks to sit on the back of his bus in 1955 ... so says civil rights leader Jesse Jackson.

Jackson came out firing against the "Duck Dynasty" star this week ... explaining, "These statements uttered by Robertson are more offensive than the bus driver in Montgomery, Alabama, more than 59 years ago."

"At least the bus driver, who ordered Rosa Parks to surrender her seat to a white person, was following state law. Robertson’s statements were uttered freely and openly without cover of the law, within a context of what he seemed to believe was 'white privilege.'"

Jackson is demanding a meeting with A&E and Cracker Barrel execs ... and even issued a Friday deadline ... urging the network to uphold Robertson’s suspension from the reality show.

Unclear if the network plans to honor Jackson's demand.

Leonardo DiCaprio Takes Acting Lesson From YouTube Video

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio took inspiration from a YouTube video to make his act look more convincing in his latest offering "The Wolf of Wall Street".

For a particular scene, when DiCaprio's character Jordan Belfort indulges in drugs overdose, he loses senses to walk and is required to crawl up to his car by himself.

To make the scene dramatic and funny, the "Titanic" star took inspiration from a YouTube video titled "The World's Drunkest Man". DiCaprio aped the man in the video to get near perfection for the scene, said a statement.

Khloe Kardashian And Rumored Beau Matt Kemp Hit The Gym Together

Earlier this week, Khloe Kardashian and rumored boyfriend Matt Kemp hit the gym in Beverly Hills, and while they left separately, they were definitely there sweating it out at the same time!

Matt later headed to a medical center nearby, and it's being reported that the MLB star will be joining Khloe and the rest of her family later tonight for a big bash at casa de Kardashian. Kemp, along with 200 other guests will be at the party, according to Radar.

“Don’t expect Khloe and Matt to be huddled in a corner off by themselves as they know people are talking about them dating….at this point, they are taking things very slow," a source for the website dished. "Khloe is still extremely sad about the end of her marriage to Lamar Odom, but she had moved on several months ago.”

I mean, he DID Instagram a photo of the Kardashian family's Christmas tree the other day, but until we see a pic of Khloe kissing him, we're not sure that we believe they're an item.

Justin Bieber is NOT backing off his promise to "retire" after his album drops ... and last night, he proved he means business by reinforcing his retirement plans ON TWITTER!

Just one week after he initially announced his upcoming retirement while appearing on an L.A. radio station, Justin issued a Christmas Eve statement saying, "My beloved beliebers I'm officially retiring."

He added, "The media talks a lot about me. They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle."

The "Real Housewives" star just took to Twitter to put out an APB on a baby bird that  just went missing from her Beverly Hills mansion.

"I know it's what some people may call 'a high class problem' however,1 of my baby swans took off yesterday."

"If anyone in BH sees errant swan Please bring him back! He is only a few months old didn't think he could fly yet Bring him back ..!!"

She included a picture of her swans -- though it's unclear which one is MIA ... since they're frickin' swans and they look exactly the same.

It's not the first time Lisa's had to deal with a missing luxury item -- back in 2010, her Bentley was stolen from her driveway ... but Lisa was more concerned about the contents in the back.

"They can have the frickin' car, but can I have my dry cleaning in the trunk, please?"

The car was eventually recovered at the bottom of a cliff ... right near a car that had been stolen from Charlie Sheen's home.

As for the swan, maybe he's just a-swimming ... it is Christmas Eve after all.

Charlie Sheen Reportedly Sends Nasty Texts To Denise Richards After She Bans Him From Seeing Their Kids

Looks like things are going to be far from merry this Christmas for Charlie Sheen and his family, as the actor is still embroiled in a bitter feud with ex-wife Denise Richards. Not only has he tweeted nasty stuff about her, but he's reportedly sent her a string of hateful texts after she banned him from seeing their daughters over the holidays.

Sheen tweeted last night, "I came up with a PERFECT holiday idea! Denise and Phil Robertson should get married! then he can practice the Bestiality he hates! c :)" Um, yikes!

And if you thought that was bad, get a load of the texts he allegedly sent her. In a series of messages obtained by TMZ, Sheen told Richards, "lemme see if I got this straight; you won't even spring the girls for 30 mins, from the 10 mil house I gave you, (100 yds away) to come down and open the gifts their dad bought them before they leave??"

"I hope your stocking is bronze-age coal stuffed along with an assortment of 8x10's of yours so you can see how despicable and heartlessly ugly you and your fermented soul continue to be," he continued. "hash tag. hag shag." Mean Sheen!

The Anger Management actor also claims that Richards had the "audacity" to ask him to borrow his private jet for a vacation. "This is the worst Xmas I've ever had," he concluded.

'Fast & Furious 7': Vin Diesel Reveals 2015 Release Date

Fast & Furious 7 has secured a new release date: April 10, 2015. Franchise star Vin Diesel posted the news on his Facebook page Sunday night, accompanied by a photo of himself with the late Paul Walker.

Diesel explained the photo on his page: “The last scene we filmed together…There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…Fast and Furious 7 will be released…April 10th 2015!”
He added: “P.s. He’d want you to know first…

Fast & Furious 7 had been aiming for an already ambitious July 11, 2014, release, but Universal Pictures halted production after Walker’s death on Nov. 30. “At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise,” a rep explained in a statement on Dec. 4.

No other information was provided about plot, or how the scenes with Walker’s character Brian O’Conner will be used in the final product.

Bilbo Bags Burgundy at Box Office As ‘Hobbit’ Surges Past ‘Anchorman 2’

“The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” breathed more fire at the holiday box office, repeating as No. 1 with $31.4 million and beating back a challenge from Will Ferrell and “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.” The comedy sequel, which arrived nine years after the original and stars Ferrell as TV newsman Ron Burgundy, brought in $26.7 million to finish second.

The two movies were virtually tied after Friday, but a Saturday surge by Bilbo Baggins and the rest of Peter Jackson’s Middle Earth mob made the difference.

Charlie Sheen to Phil Robertson: Apologize ... Or Face a 'Masheen Style Media Beatdown'

Charlie Sheen just WENT OFF on "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson -- threatening to unleash a monstrous media attack on the reality star ... unless he makes amends with gay people.

Sheen posted the long diatribe on Twitter ... and quickly put Phil on notice saying, "just when your desperately sub evolved ass thought the pressure was off, you are now in the cross-hairs of a MaSheen style media beat down."

Charlie claims he's only voicing his opinion out of the blue for one reason ... to stick up for all his gay friends whose voices are not as powerful.

The letter is filled with classic Sheenism's -- like calling Phil a "shower-dodger", something about Charlie whittling his "cosmic banjo" ... and even a "news flash" for old times sake.
