Amy Winehouse at the Top of Her Game Tribute

Say what you want about Amy Winehouse, many will remember her for the drug addictions she had, and others for her musical talent. Here at Beverly News we remember the natural talent Amy was.

Lets not forget what an incredible and unique voice she had.

Watch the video below....

Amy Winehouse Was Still Alive When Help Arrived

Sources are saying that paramedics found "signs of life" when they arrived Saturday afternoon, but Amy died before they could transport her to the hospital.

As of right now there are no specifics as to the exact nature of the "signs of life."

Law enforcement "is operating under the suspicion" that this was an overdose, even though police will not say if it's indeed an overdose until the final examination on Sunday morning.

As Beverly News reported previously -- there were no signs of foul play that caused her death.

Police Say: Don't Call Amy Winehouse's Death an Overdose Yet

Police in London released an official statement this afternoon and they acknowledge the death of Amy Winehouse -- but they have said that it's too soon to determine if drugs were related.

The cause of death, and speculation that Amy Winehouse -- who had battled drug and alcohol problems for years -- may have OD'ed, Kohli said, "I am aware of reports suggesting this death is the result of a suspected drugs overdose, but I would like to inform that nothing has been come about so please don't make any conclusions until the official cause is released.

Seth Rogen and Zac Efron Sign Up For an R-rated Comedy

Universal has won a bidding war for an untitled comedy that has Seth Rogen and Zac Efron attached to star.

Rogen will also produce, alongside his longtime pal and collaborator Evan Goldberg, according to a report by Deadline.

The movie will be written by Andrew Cohen and Brendan O'Brien, who are proteges of Judd Apatow like Rogen and Goldberg. Universal apparently put up a seven-figure offer for the pitch, buoyed by the slew of R-rated comedy success stories this summer (Bridesmaids and The Hangover Part 2 chief among them).

The plot will see and Efron's fratboy's partying antics disrupting the life of family man Rogen, so unsurprisingly it's expected to have a touch of the Old School about it.

There's currently no news on a release date, but as it's yet to be written, don't expect it for some time yet.

The project should also mark Efron's biggest step away from the High School Musical franchise. He's proven himself a likeable presence in Me And Orson Welles, so perhaps this'll be the movie to open him up to a whole new audience.

Amy Winehouse Found Dead She was 27

Amy Winehouse, the beehived soul-jazz diva whose self-destructive habits overshadowed a distinctive musical talent, was found dead Saturday in her London home, police said. She was 27.

Winehouse shot to fame in 2006 with the album "Back to Black," whose blend of jazz, soul, rock and classic pop was a global hit. It won five Grammys and made Winehouse — with her black beehive hairdo and old-fashioned sailor tattoos — one of music's most recognizable stars. But her personal life, with its drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders and destructive relationships, soon took over her career.

Police confirmed that a 27-year-old female was pronounced dead at the home in Camden Square northern London; the cause of death was not immediately known. London Ambulance Services said Winehouse had died before the two ambulance crews it sent arrived at the scene. Singer and actress Kelly Osbourne, who helped Winehouse check into a drug addiction treatment facility in 2008, was one of many who grieved for the singer on Twitter.
"I cant even breath right now im crying so hard I just lost 1 of my best friends. I love you forever Amy and will never forget the real you!" she tweeted. The singer's father, Mitch Winehouse, had arrived in New York this weekend to prepare for his U.S. performing debut Monday night at the Blue Note jazz club, but upon receiving news of his daughter's death was heading back home to London to be with his family, his publicist said.

Vanilla Ice Predicts Bieber Failure

Vanilla Ice has warned teen sensation Justin Bieber to enjoy his success while he can because his fame won't last.

The one-time rapper, real name Rob Van Winkle, was catapulted to fame thanks to his hit 1990 track Ice Ice Baby - the first hip-hop single to top the U.S. Billboard charts.

But the star's fame was fleeting and he struggled to maintain his success and Ice predicts the Canadian superstar will suffer the same fate.

He tells the Huffington Post, "I mean, I did 'Ice Ice Baby' when I was 16. So I can kind of relate a bit. Sold over a hundred million records. And I had a weekend that lasted about three years, and I didn't know who I was, what's my purpose in life.

"So my prediction about Bieber is that he's going to go through one of those weekends that lasts a few years because he's had such success as a child act.

"Then something else new will come along and he'll be forgotten and he can try to put all the pieces back together, so it's going to be entertaining to watch."

On Friday, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Queen Elizabeth II went on a one-on-one tour of the exhibitions for the summer opening of Buckingham Palace. Among the items on display, Kate's Alexander McQueen wedding dress, her jeweled Cartier tiara, and the three-foot-tall cake from her and Prince Williams' wedding.

Apparently, the Queen is not without a sense of humor. When she and Kate came upon the wedding dress, the Queen reportedly joked, "Horrid, isn't it? Horrid and dreadful!"

Already 150,000 tickets to the exhibit have been sold. It runs through October in Buckingham palace.

Dodgers' $150 Million Bankruptcy Bailout Rejected

A judge shut down the Los Angeles Dodgers' bankruptcy financing plan to score $150 million for the team -- meaning Frank McCourt may have to turn to Major League Baseball for a loan instead.

McCourt was trying to strike a deal with Highbridge Capital to keep the team afloat, but today a judge in Delaware rejected that bid. MLB has offered the Dodgers a lower interest loan with no liens attached -- an alternative the team seemed more open to after today's ruling.

An attorney for the Dodgers released a statement today saying, "A short form unsecured credit agreement with MLB, when combined with other sources of revenues, should provide the Dodgers with ample liquidity to meet team payroll and other expenses."

The statement also says the Dodgers plan to emerge from Chapter 11 before the end of this year.

Arnold Schwarzenegger And Maria Shriver's Son Rushed To ER After Surfing Accident

Arnold and Maria's youngest child, Christopher, was rushed to the hospital after a serious surfing accident last weekend, according to various online reports.

The 13-year-old was surfing in Malibu when the accident occurred, causing him to suffer multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung. A source tells PEOPLE: "Christopher has been in ICU since Sunday. Maria has not left his side and is sleeping at hospital."

Thankfully, he is expected to make a full recovery, according to reports.

In other news, Schwarzenegger recently filed documents asking a judge to terminate her spousal support request, even though Maria asked for it in her petition.

Arnold is also asking for joint custody of the pair's two minor children.

Casey Anthony Lawyer Negotiates Money with Networks

Jose Baez -- Casey Anthony's lawyer -- is holed up at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City, holding court with all of the major networks -- to determine who will score the first interview with Casey -- and big bucks are involved.

NBC, ABC and CBS are all competing for the first interview.  Sources connected with the negotiations say there is a "big price tag" for the interview. The networks -- which say they don't pay for interviews -- are offering to license photos and other material and pay big bucks ... that's S.O.P. in the network game.

NBC looks like the frontrunner so far, but ABC is in the game. CBS "is a distant third." NBC is paying for Baez' hotel room.

Baez spent part of the night Thursday in the Mandarin Oriental bar with famed lawyer Mark Geragos -- who knows a thing or two about high-profile cases.  We're told Geragos gave Baez pointers on negotiating the deal.

Kobe Bryant Taking His Talents to Turkey?

Kobe Bryant may play his next game in Turkey if the Turkish team, Besiktas, wins over Bryant's representatives. Will the Los Angeles Lakers star join the Turkish team during the NBA lockout?

Turkish club Besiktas is in talks with Kobe Bryant's representatives about the possibility of the Los Angeles Lakers star playing in Turkey during the NBA lockout.

"It is a fact that Kobe Bryant's managers have contacted us," coach Ergin Ataman said Thursday, a week after Besiktas signed New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams. Ataman said Bryant was waiting for an offer from Besiktas. The club, however, said it would need a sponsor to be able to pay for Bryant's contract.

Bryant has won five NBA titles with the Lakers and is a 13-time NBA All Star. Representatives of some other NBA players have also contacted Besiktas, Ataman said, without naming any of them.

The Turkish League season starts in October.

Chad Ochocinco’s Excuse to Police: ‘I’m allergic to the sun’

CLICK PICTURE TO ENLARGE

Chad Ochocinco was pulled over by Cincinnati police on Thursday for driving with tinted windows that were too dark. Like any citizen in trouble with the law, Ochocinco tweeted the above message about his ongoing traffic stop to his 2.3 million Twitter followers.

If anyone else recounted a conversation like that, our B.S. meters would be chirping. "Sure you feigned respect to a policeman before saying you're allergic to the sun." But coming from a guy who had to hand the officer a license that reads "Chad Javon Ochocinco," I'm buying it and his claim of sun allergy. What else do you think turned his hair blond?

J.K. Rowling: 'Never say never' to more 'Potter'

Although J.K. Rowling has said that the story of Harry Potter ends with the seventh book, she’s reserving the right to change her mind and extend the story.

The 45-year-old author told the enormous crowd gathered for the world premiere of “Deathly Hallows: Part 2” in London Thursday that she has no immediate plans to resurrect Potter's tale, but also that one should “never say never.”

Rowling says -- “It is my baby and if I want to bring it out to play again, I will.”

Indeed, the final “Harry Potter” premiere was a bittersweet moment for the author, as she told BBC News that the franchise has changed her personally.

“You know honestly, if someone told me this is coming, I might’ve said, I can’t do that. I’ve really come out of my shell,” she said. “I was not someone who was a natural public speaker and and I was not very comfortable with this sort of thing. It’s just as well that I got introduced to it by degrees.”

“I think I always felt I didn’t want to publish again until the last film was out. I’ve been writing hard ever since I finished writing 'Hallows,' but I will publish again,” she says. “In a sense it’s a beginning for me as well as an end.”

NFL Owners Approve Labor Deal to End Lockout

National Football League owners ratified a labor deal Thursday that will end the lockout next week -- as long as the players reform their union and approve the deal.

If the players take those steps, it would stop the four-month lockout and permit the NFL season to start on time. That is good news to all those involved, especially the TV networks that want those tens of millions of viewers to keep tuning in.

For the networks, a deal protects billions of dollars in revenues. NBC, CBS, Fox and ESPN all carry games, with receipts from ads totaling 3 billion for the 2009-2010 season. The owners approved the deal in a 31-0 vote with only Oakland Raiders’ Al Davis abstaining.

For everything to be finalized, the players must approve the deal and demonstrate that a majority of them have signed union authorization cards. Haggling over the collective bargaining agreement would still need to take place, but if the two sides do not come to a deal by then, the current terms will remain unchanged for 10 more years.

James Franco: Don't Blame Me for the Oscars -- I Didn't Even Want to Do It

Remember that disastrous Academy Awards show back in February?

Well, it wasn't James Franco's fault that he was a lousy host. In fact, he didn't even want the gig and acted dull on purpose.

Four months after a brief Twitter-fueled tiff in which he criticized Oscar writer Bruce Vilanch (and then made up with Vilanch the next day), Franco is in the August issue of Playboy magazine with his first in-depth comments about what was widely seen as a debacle of an Oscar show, with Franco's listless performance drawing near-unanimous scorn.

After the show, one staffer told TheWrap that Franco had been even more lethargic during rehearsals, leading staff members to hope that he was "saving it for the show" – while others said that the actor's performance was the object of some serious 11th-hour discussions among top show staffers, who knew his detached style presented a huge problem.

Daniel Radcliffe Breaks Down In Tears -- WATCH VIDEO

The Harry Potter movie series is coming to an end after 10 years, with Deathly Hallows: Part 2 breaking box office records since it opened in theaters on July 15.

In the just-released featurette above, Radcliffe gives a speech to the cast and crew on his last day of filming, and he can barely get through it without crying!
Says Radcliffe:

After his speech, he walks over to co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, and the three sob and hug each other.

Ramirez is currently in jail on a probation violation.

Chris Brown: There's a CONSPIRACY Against Me

 CLICK PICTURE TO ENLARGE

Chris Brown says he's been set up -- claiming one of his neighbors scratched the initials "C.B." into an elevator at his Hollywood condo building in an effort to make the singer look like a "reckless" punk.

Brown's neighbors hate his very much and have complained to the building manager about noise, parking violations and a mysterious case of elevator vandalism ever since the singer moved in a few months ago.

But now, Brown has fired back on his Twitter page -- saying 'HE' is the real victim here -- "My neighbor carves my name in our elevator to incriminate me so it looks like I'm a reckless 22 your old."

Pictures show Brown parking in handicapped spaces, Brown explained, "My parking spaces in my building that were assigned to me when I [bought] this crib are painted over with handicap and no Parking signs."

He added, "A person should be able to live in his or her own company of their house! I'm barely home so these stories and accusations are so childish!"

Robert Pattinson Says Twilight Birth Scene "Goes Very Far"

Comic Con is underway, which means a major Twilight takeover of San Diego.

Of course, with the saga coming to an end -- the last film Breaking Dawn, comes out November 18 -- fans at the convention are hanging on every word stars (and real-life lovers) Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart speak.

Comic-conners were especially on the edge of their seats when the two started talking about the potentially controversial sex and birth scenes in Breaking Dawn -- their characters, Bella and Edward, marry and consummate their union (in a word: hot.) Then, Bella gives birth to a vampire/human hybrid baby.

"The wedding was (filmed) Secret Service style insane," says Stewart. "There was no cell phone or email." Filmmakers have taken great care to keep Bella's dress under wraps.

While Stewart says the wedding is "beautiful," Pattinson called the birth scene "hardcore." He told HitFix.com:
"For a fantasy ... that has kind of a youngish audience, it goes very far. There was no other way to do it."

Mayor Bloomberg BUYS MANSION in the Hamptons

CLICK PICTURE TO ENLARGE

BUYER: Mayor Michael Bloomberg
LOCATION: Southampton, NY
PRICE: $22,500,000 (list)
SIZE: 22,000 square feet, 11 bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms

YOUR MAMAS NOTES: All the New York City and Hamptons real estate gossips are hog wild over the news that three-time New York City mayor and mega-billionaire Michael Bloomberg is in contract to dump twenty million clams on a significant and substantial estate in hoity-toity Southampton, NY.

Listing information for the almost 35-acre spread shows the stately ivy-covered Georgian-style pile at the tail end of the winding half mile long drive was designed by F. Burall Hoffman and built in 1910 for Charles Blair MacDonald, the man who reportedly built the first 18-hole golf course in the country.

Mister Bloomberg, one of New York City's most eligible billionaire bachelors with a net worth estimated by the folks at Forbes to exceed eighteen billion bucks, isn't really known as a real estate size queen by all us celebrity real estate flibbertigibbets, particularly when compared to others with similar net worth. However, the mayor opted to blow it out in the Hamptons with a massive and well-maintained but decoratively out-dated 22,000 square foot mansion that includes 11 bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms.

The grounds include acres of rolling lawns and pastures, mature shade trees, various riding rings, equestrian facilities–one of his adult daughters is a horsey sort of gal–tennis court, swimming pool and English gardens.

Snooki And Rob Kardashian In Talks For Dancing with the Stars

Dancing With The Stars Season 13 is already shaping up to be quite the spectacle ... especially if Jersey Shore's Snooki and Rob Kardashian join the cast.

The next season is set to premiere on September 19. Snooki and Rob have not officially signed on to the show, according to Us Weekly.

While stopping by to chat with George Lopez last night on Lopez Tonight, Rob addressed the rumors of him joining DWTS. The 24-year-old reality star tells Lopez:
"I heard that...I don't know. I can't dance at all...but I'm very competitive...it would be interesting .... My sister lasted like a week...I would have to do better than her."

Arnold's Divorce Response -- Conflict Over Support

Arnold Schwarzenegger has filed a response to Maria Shriver's divorce petition, and the former couple is at odds over whether Maria should get spousal support.

Arnold's lawyer, Bob Kaufman, checked the box on the legal docs asking the judge to terminate any right on Maria's part to get spousal support. Maria asked for spousal support in her petition.

Arnold -- like Maria -- is asking for joint custody of the couple's two minor children.

And there's another conflict. Maria is asking Arnold to pay for her attorney's fees. Arnold's response asks that the judge make each party foot the bill for their respective lawyers.

There is no prenup, so under California law both Arnold and Maria are entitled to a 50/50 split of all earnings and property accumulated during their 25-year marriage. The two are estimated to be worth around $400 million.

Fact is -- Arnold will get the very expensive family home -- Maria will most likely end up with at least as much, if not more cash than Arnold, so spousal support may become a non-issue ... especially since Arnold isn't earning any real money right now. Soon that will change because Arnold is set to start filming his latest flick "The Last Stand".

Judge is EXTREMELY Impatient with Lindsay Lohan

Judge Stephanie Sautner made it clear -- she is extremely impatient with Lindsay Lohan and her progress in completing probation.

Judge Sautner made it clear, Lindsay had better complete her community services within 1 year of the date of sentencing -- or else! The judge said, "I'm not going to give her five extra minutes. I don't want to hear, 'Oh, I couldn't do it because I was on the set of the John Gotti movie.'"

The judge was frustrated that after 2 months, Lindsay has only completed 4 days of 60 days of community service.

The judge was also upset that Lindsay had not enrolled in psychological counseling -- as she's required to do. The judge is giving her 21 days to sign up with a personal counselor -- not a group counselor.

The L.A. County Probation Dept. was asking Judge Sautner to violate Lindsay's probation, because of 3 alleged violations. Two of them were outright bogus ... the third was Lindsay not returning a call from her probation officer. Lindsay did in fact belatedly return the call.

Judge Sautner made it very clear -- if Lindsay doesn't get her act together, the judge will revoke her probation.

So jail is not out of the question for Lindsay.

Space Shuttle Atlantis TOUCHES DOWN For the Very Last Time

CLICK PICTURE TO ENLARGE

The Space Shuttle has landed safely for the last time in Florida today. The shuttle touched down at 5:56am Eastern Time. This marks the end of the shuttles amazing history of space travel. The crew of four is extremely thrilled to have been part of this last mission.

NASA ended its shuttle program with Atlantis' successful space station resupply mission. It was the 135th flight in shuttle history. This grand finale came 50 years to the day that Gus Grissom became the second American in space, aboard Liberty Bell 7.

It was to be a true homecoming for Atlantis, which first soared in 1985. The next-to-youngest in NASA's fleet will remain at Kennedy Space Center as a museum display. Atlantis — the last of NASA's three surviving shuttles to retire — performed admirably during the 13-day flight. It dropped off a full year's worth of food and other supplies at the International Space Station, just in case upcoming deliveries get delayed.

The space station's international partners — Russia, Europe and Japan — will continue to carry up cargo loads. And Russia will keep launching American astronauts to the orbiting lab until private industry is ready to fly people up in three to five years.

Several private companies are vying for the cargo runs and astronaut ferry flights. The front-runner hopes to make its first shipment of supplies by the end of this year. A U.S. flag that flew on the first shuttle flight in 1981 and returned to orbit aboard Atlantis, is now at the space station. The first company to get astronauts there will claim the flag as a prize.

For over 30 years the shuttle missions have taken mankind into space....although this is the end of the shuttle missions -- it's not the end of American space travel.

Lindsay Lohan Facing New Lawsuit -- Assault & Battery

Rememeber when Lindsay Lohan attacked a Betty Ford employee last year? ... so says the alleged victim who's filing a lawsuit against the actress -- but her story appears to have one MAJOR inconsistency.

Dawn Holland -- who goes by Dawn Bradley -- is set to file the legal documents today ... in which she claims Lohan was combative and violent when she tried to give the actress a breathalyzer test at the rehab center back in  December after Lohan had allegedly took off from the property to go drinking.

In the lawsuit, Holland claims Lohan grabbed her right wrist and began "twisting and pulling it for 8-10 seconds." Here's another twist -- when Dawn filed her initial incident report with the BFC, she NEVER mentioned the wrist grab ... even though the rest of her story syncs up perfectly.

Holland was eventually fired from the Betty Ford Center -- claims she suffered "great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering" from the alleged assault and battery.

Dawn Holland is demanding $1 million to make things right.

It's funny how money makes all the pain go away....

UFC Prez: Weston Cage Will NEVER Fight in the Octagon

UFC creator/owner Dana White just issued a lifetime ban on Nicolas Cage's son. "I would never allow Weston Cage to set foot in a UFC ring after two domestic violence arrests."

Weston previously mentioned that he was already training to fight in UFC -- and his dream would be to face off against Kimbo Slice in the Octagon ... but according to what Dana has to say, that will never happen.

Weston was arrested yesterday in L.A. for felony domestic violence -- his second domestic violence arrest in less than a month.

'Harry Potter' Soars Past $200 MILLION

On Tuesday, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 rocketed past the $200 million mark in just five days. The only other movies to hit $200 million in five days were The Dark Knight and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Though its total climbed to a whopping $202.6 million, Deathly Hallows: Part 2 didn't break the five-day opening gross record. It fell short of The Dark Knight's $203.8 million five-day haul, ranking second on the all-time five-day chart. Normalized for ticket-price inflation, Deathly Hallows: Part 2 would drop to ninth.

Deathly Hallows: Part 2's $15.4 million Tuesday was the fifth-highest grossing non-opening Tuesday ever. The Dark Knight still holds that record with $20.9 million, though both movies had Monday-to-Tuesday drops of around 15 percent.

As a franchise, Harry Potter has generated $2.211 billion, and, on Wednesday, it should edge out Star Wars's $2.218 billion to become the top-grossing franchise of all time!
