'Dancing With the Stars' Drops Brooke Burke-Charvet

 

The music has stopped for Dancing With the Stars co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet.

As reported by E! Online, Burke-Charvet got word on Friday afternoon that her services would not be needed for Season 18 of the ABC competition series, which premieres March 17.

In a statement to E! Online, Burke-Charvet said, “[I] understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture” — a seeming nod to DWTS‘ declining ratings and buzz.

She also went to Twitter to say:  weird day….Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS…ME. @Tom_Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season.

“I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom,” she added, “but this one takes the cake.”

A former model, Burke-Charvet first appeared on DWTS as a contestant — and eventual winner — of Season 7, and then went on to cohost with Tom Bergeron Seasons 10 through 17. In that capacity, she succeeded Samantha Harris (who replaced Lisa Canning starting with Season 2).

Aiden Turner Gets a Plea Bargain In His Case

Aiden Turner -- like the 1980 US Hockey Team -- now believes in miracles ... because his lawyer just got him an unbelievable plea bargain in his domestic violence case.

The former "All My Children" star was charged with 2 counts of domestic violence with injury and 2 other related charges. He allegedly chucked a remote at his live-in girlfriend and gave her a black eye and bruised her elbow.

Enter criminal defense attorney Mike Cavalluzzi. He scored a plea where ALL of the charges were dropped and Aiden pled no contest to misdemeanor disturbing the peace.

Aiden -- who you may remember from "Dancing with the Stars" -- must complete 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling. After 1 year the plea is reduced to a mere infraction -- like a traffic ticket.

Well, $150k from Memorial Day (May 26) to Labor Day (September 1) -- if you're looking to rent it in June alone, it's $30,000, if you're just looking to rent it in July the price goes up to $60,000 for the month, and from August 1st to Labor Day the rent increases to $80,000. Seems like renting it the whole summer is the better deal, as it would essentially save you $20k and give you an extra week at the pad...

Lamar Odom On Khloe Kardashian: "She Will Always Be My Wife No Matter What"

Lamar Odom is still convinced that he could have a future with estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, even though she filed for divorce last December.

During a press conference today in Spain with his new basketball team, Laboral Kutxa, Odom opened up about his personal life and the public's perception of him over the last year.

"I love my wife. She'll always be my wife, no matter what," Odom said. "Who knows? We don't know exactly if [the divorce is going through]. Only time will tell. I hope not. But even if we were divorced, she would always be my wife." On being married to Khloe from 2009 to 2013, the former NBA star added, "Those were some of the best years of my life. Being married and being married to a woman I decided to marry was, besides having children, the most important thing in my life."

So what about his troubles over the last year, which included allegations of cheating and drug use? "We all have regrets, but the thing is to learn from life," he said. "There's no one in this room, no one in this world who can say, 'I'm mistake-free, I have made no mistakes.' If you can introduce me to that person, please introduce me to that person. Let me meet him and speak to him."

Christina Aguilera knows how to keep things interesting -- it hasn't even been a week since she announced her engagement to a production assistant ... and now she's pregnant.

Christina and soon-to-be baby daddy husband Matt Rutler met on the set of the 2010 film "Burlesque," where he worked as a P.A. And things heated up from there.

Aguilera announced they were engaged on Valentine's Day.

Christina gave birth to her first child -- Max Bratman -- in 2008.

He's at it again! After reportedly listing his other Beverly Hills mansion for $20 million last year, Simon Cowell put this estate on the market for $17.9 million.

The 12,000-square-foot home has 7 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, and it sits on a whopping 2 acres of land. The home features high ceilings, beautifully inlaid floors and from the sparkling pool and spa to the fountains and spacious patio, the grounds are just as fancy as the interiors!

Leonardo DiCaprio's Foundation Gives $3 Million To Oceana Charity

Leonardo DiCaprio's foundation has just granted $3 million to Oceana, which, according to their website is, "the largest international organization focused solely on ocean conservation."

“Protecting our planet’s oceans and the marine species that call it home is one of the most pressing sustainability crises facing humanity today and a moral imperative that we must acknowledge,” DiCaprio said.

“It’s my hope that this grant will help Oceana continue the tremendous work that they do daily on behalf of our oceans.”

DiCaprio’s grant will also aid the charity's efforts to advocate for responsible fishing measures, including the effort to ban drift gillnets, which are mile-long nets that catch swordfish and thresher sharks in California but also kill a large number of other marine animals.

The $3 million grant is set to be spread over three years and is the first marine conservation grant made following the foundation’s 11th Hour Charity Auction hosted at Christie’s last year.

Justin Winters, Executive Director of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, said, “We are excited to support Oceana’s efforts to win real policy change and protection for vital habitats and species throughout the Pacific and Arctic Oceans.”

Kudos to Leo for his help trying to change the environment.

Ludacris: I'm Hurtin' For Cash Because of Paul Walker's Death

Ludacris can't afford to pay thousands of dollars in child support -- and he's blaming his financial woes on the death of his "Fast and Furious" co-star Paul Walker.

Ludacris was in court Wednesday with his baby mama, Tamika Fuller ... who's demanding Ludacris to pay her $15K a month to take care of his 2-month-old baby daughter, Cai.

But Ludacris went to court and told the judge ... he was counting on "Fast and Furious 7" money to make his payments, and the movie is now on hold so his payday went away.

Ludacris claims he can only pay $1,800 a month -- confessing he only made around $55K for 2013.

The judge split the baby down the middle, ordering Ludacris to pay 7K a month for now ... while the judge reviews all the financial documents.

Tyrese also claimed relative poverty in his child support case because of Walker's death.

Oksana Grigorieva Files for Bankruptcy: I've Got $10 To My Name

Oksana Grigorieva -- who got hundreds of thousands of dollars from Mel Gibson after a nuclear child custody war -- has filed for bankruptcy ... sources have confirmed.

In new legal docs -- Oksana says things are so bad she only has $10 in cash to her name.

Oksana says the math tells the story -- $48,000 in assets, $438,000 in debts.

As for Oksana's expenses ... she spends $90 a month on "Gofer Patrol."  Her home security is less ... $80 a month.

Oksana -- who is a singer -- claims in the last 6 months she's only received $200 in royalties.

She also lists works of art she painted at $500.

Now get this ... Most of the debts are from legal bills. Oksana owes 5 lawyers a quarter-of-a-million bucks. 

During the custody fight ... Oksana hired and fired more than 40 lawyers. Mel agreed to pay Oksana a $750K settlement in installments -- the last being due in 2016. Mel pled no contest to assaulting Oksana ... knocking out a few veneers.

According to the court documents, Mel pays her $20,000 a month in child support for Lucia, and actor Timothy Dalton pays her $2,500 a month for their son, Alexander.

Oksana rejected a settlement from Mel ... of $15,000,000.

On Tuesday night Paris Hilton enjoyed a belated birthday celebration with her parents Rick and Kathy at Dan Tana's in West Hollywood, and she may be the girl with everything, but it looks like her mom and dad were still able to surprise her with some sweet gifts. And that blue and black chevron stripe dress? Loves!

Kathy brought cookies decorated like two of Paris' chihuahuas, and not only were there balloons and a beautifully decorated birthday cake, but there was plenty of Chanel for the b-day girl. P Instagrammed photos from their dinner and wrote, "Thanks @KathyHilton & @RickHilton7 for my beautiful birthday presents!"

Paris is headed to Miami, and we're guessing the celebrating will continue through the weekend.

A pic showing a buck-naked red-haired beauty snapping a selfie in the mirror has gone viral ... and damn if it doesn't look a lot like the "Easy A" actress.  Several websites have published the photo -- saying it's definitely Stone.

But a source close to Emma is adamant ... it's just not her.

As for who really owns the bare lady parts? She's yet to come forward.

Up to now, Emma's managed to keep her lady bits covered in the movies ... which is why this photo exploded on the Internet.

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester Get Married In Secret Wedding

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester married in a super secret ceremony less than three months after news of their engagement went public, Us Weekly reports.

The notoriously private pair kept their relationship under wraps for some time until it was revealed back in February 2013 that they were dating. The couple met on the set of The Oranges in 2011 and remained close after filming. The actress and actor also both starred on shows created by Josh Schwartz.

It was reported they were engaged in November 2013, but neither the Gossip Girl star nor the O.C. star has publicly commented on their romantic life.

It is the first marriage for both.

Jimmy Fallon’s Debut as ‘Tonight Show’ Host Dominates in Ratings Monday

A new era in late night television commenced on Monday, with NBC’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” easily keeping the venerable program on top of the ratings heap.

Taking advantage of NBC’s dominance in primetime courtesy of its coverage of the Winter Olympics — and starting 30 minutes later than usual because of it — Fallon’s debut as host averaged a 7.1 overnight household rating/20 share, according to Nielsen. This put it about 80% higher than the combined overnight Monday rating for the programs hosted by Jimmy Kimmel on ABC and David Letterman on CBS. Coincidentally, the 7.1 is the same overnight score that NBC saw for its post-Jay Leno “Tonight Show” host the first time, as Conan O’Brien premiered to that rating in June 2009.

Jimmy Fallon, the new host of the "Tonight show", introduced himself to viewers on Monday like a freshly licensed doctor taking over a retiring gerontologist’s practice.

Mr. Fallon didn’t smirk or make sarcastic asides. He gently and earnestly explained that he is 39, lives in New York City, and has a wife and a new baby. He pointed out his parents in the studio audience and also how the monologue works. He choked up a little when talking about the “Tonight” show legacy. “I just want to do the best I can,” he said. “And take care of the show for a while.”

Even with celebrity cameos (Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Robert De Niro, among many others) and high-profile guests like Will Smith and the band U2, Mr. Fallon’s debut was more sweet than sassy. He was the grateful heir, the eager freshman, the class clown with top grades and a good heart — someone older viewers can embrace without fear of being mocked or overlooked.

Box Office: ‘Lego Movie’ Assembles Huge Fan Base with $60 Million Holiday Weekend

With its broadened appeal to non-families, Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow’s 3D animated hit “The Lego Movie” out-grossed four new entries to become the far-and-away box office winner, estimating $48.8 million Friday-Sunday, down a mere 29%, with a whopping $60 million through President’s Day.

In just two weeks, “The Lego Movie” has collected a total projected $140.3 million domestically, ahead of Universal’s “The Lorax,” which saw a similar box office trajectory in early March 2012.

Box office pundits are projecting overall holiday box office to be ahead of the same frame last year. That said, Valentine’s day falling on a Friday gave this year a considerable edge.

Sony-Screen Gems’ “About Last Night,” which won the Valentine’s day derby with nearly $13 million, also came away the leader among the weekend’s new entries, grossing a solid $30.2 million in four days, while the studio’s other ’80s remake “RoboCop” misfired with $30 million in six days.

Simon Cowell Introduces His Son Eric To The World

Simon Cowell has a male in his life that is actually showing more chest than him -- and his name is Eric.

It's a pretty shocking sight for a man who by all accounts has avoided parenthood for 54 years.

Simon boasted how handsome his son is, adding, "I never knew how much love and pride I would feel."

Simon, Lauren Silverman and 2-day-old Eric posed for the pic in the NYC hospital where the kid was born.
