Jay-Z Defends Deal With Store Accused of Profiling

Jay-Z is under increasing pressure to back out of a collaboration with the luxury store Barneys New York after it was accused of racially profiling two black customers -- said Saturday he's being unfairly "demonized" for just waiting to hear all of the facts.

The rap mogul made his first statement about the controversy in a posting on his website. He has come under fire for remaining silent as news surfaced this week that two young black people said they were profiled by Barneys after they purchased expensive items from their Manhattan store.

An online petition and Twitter messages from fans have been circulating this week, calling on the star to bow out of his upcoming partnership with Barneys for the holiday season, which will have the store selling items by top designers, inspired by Jay-Z, with some of the proceeds going to his charity. He is also working with the store to create its artistic holiday window display.

Johnny Knoxville’s ‘Jackass: Bad Grandpa’ Pranking ‘Gravity’ at Box Office

Johnny Knoxville’s raunchy comedy “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa” was heading for an easy win at the box office, after a $12.6 million Friday debut put it on pace for a $30 million weekend. That will end the three-week run of “Gravity,” the Sandra Bullock-George Clooney space epic, which was in second and looking at a $22 million fourth week after taking in $6.1 million Friday.

The 3D-fueled Warner Bros. blockbuster is up to $185 million domestically and is over $300 million worldwide.

Brett Favre Is Having Memory Loss Problems

Quarterback Brett Favre played 321 straight games in the National Football League before retiring. He recently told Sports Talk 570 in Washington that he can't remember his daughter participating in youth soccer one summer, even though she played several games. That, and other memory lapses, have worried him.

"For the first time in 44 years, that put a little fear in me," he said. "God only knows the toll."

In August, thousands of former football players and their families reached a settlement with the NFL in a lawsuit that put concussions, and their impact on the brain, under the microscope.

The deal called for the NFL to pay $765 million to fund medical exams, concussion-related compensation, medical research for retired NFL players and their families, and litigation expenses, according to a court document filed in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia.

"Entourage" Movie In The Works

"Entourage" WILL hit the big screen, because the cast and the producers will all sign on with Warner Bros. as early as today, sources have confirmed.

Several people on the show have been holding out for a bigger piece of the action, but everyone has been pointing fingers at each other. Now we know ... the holdouts have been Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrara, this according to sources connected to the production.

Production sources say ... Grenier, Ferrara and some other cast members are resentful that Jeremy Piven will be getting a bigger salary and bigger piece of the back end than them, and they've been haggling.

Sources say Warner Bros. told the cast and producers that it would give a certain amount of back end, and it was up to them to figure out who gets what.  All in all, the wheeling and dealing is just about over and lawyers from all sides are trying to ink the deal today.

We're told if it doesn't happen today, it will happen in the next few days by necessity ... there are certain tax issues that create a make-or-break situation for the movie, and that deadline is days away.

Drew Barrymore BUYS $8.3 Penthouse In New York City

Drew Barrymore and husband Will Kopelman have reportedly bought this $8.3 million Park Avenue duplex.

According to sources, the couple checked out a few pads in the building before finally settling on this top floor duplex with four bedrooms and 4.5 baths. According to listing information, the home recently underwent an extensive renovation, and there are three fireplaces and three sets of French doors that open to a Juliet balcony. Other features include an in-the-wall music system and beautifully refinished parquet floors and a large, windowed, eat-in kitchen.

Next to the master bedroom is a separate sitting room and dressing room, and the master bath has open-shelf linen storage, a double sink floating vanity with exposed plumbing, a soaking tub and a separate stall shower.

Drew and her husband primary reside in a gated compound above the Outpost Estates in the Hollywood Hills, and they currently have their Montecito ranch home on the market for $6.9 million.

O & M -- who started dating back in 2007 -- released a joint statement through their reps saying, "They have been amicably separated for the past few months. After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation."

"Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."

The couple has one kid together -- their son Flynn, who was born in 2011.

The announcement is pretty shocking considering Miranda and Orlando were spotted out in public together -- smiling and laughing on October 7 in NYC.

We never understand how celebrities ever go broke. Don’t they have like, mountains of money?

Apparently Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are flat broke despite the fact that her dad Aaron Spelling was richer than god. Then again, how are Tori and Dean “famous?” Was one of them on "The Bachelor"? We can’t be sure.

Kris Jenner Confessed She Cheated on Bruce

According to Kris Jenner’ if-not-estranged-then, definitely-estranged-now sister Karen Houghton, “Kris has admitted to cheating.”

Kris’ older sibling dished to Star magazine and stirred the recent separation confirmations with infidelity allegations. “It’s so funny because I could never see a guy cheating on her,” Karen added a devilish dash of side eye to her comment. “She’s so powerful.”

While Bruce Jenner has said he and his wife aren’t filing for divorce, just living apart, Karen doesn’t have much faith in her sister’s commitment to their marriage.

“I do not believe that [Bruce] has ever cheated on Kris…and I don’t think he ever will, if they stay together,” she continued. “[If they do divorce] Bruce will find someone else. But I guarantee you, Kris will find someone in two days. I promise!”

Karen also suggested that the unhappiness Kris feels in her marriage—what she called a “hole in her” sister—is the reason for her overly intense work ethic managing all the Kardashian children.

“My sister is a person who likes to stay really busy, focused, in control, done, done, ABC, you know?” Karen added. “And even a little bit anal. But I think that’s because when you have situations inside of you that aren’t filling your complete happiness, there’s a hole in you. Now that she's married, it looks like Kelly Clarkson has finally settled in to that huge Tennessee mansion she bought exactly a year ago for $2.86 million.

The 31-year-old pop star tied the knot with Brandon Blackstock last week, and now sources are reporting that she's calling the 17,000-square-foot pad home sweet home. No, that's not a typo -- it's really seventeen thousand square feet with seven bedrooms and nine-and-a-half baths.

The home, which was built in 2007, sits on a 4.06 acre lot, and it has its own gated entry, a gym, a movie theater, and it even sits on a lake with a private dock. There are walnut hardwood floors throughout the pad, a rec room, a fireplace and there's even an elevator on site.

Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak NOT IMPRESSED With New iPad Air

Add Steve Wozniak to the list of insta-pundits not impressed by the iPad Air.

Wozniak, an Apple co-founder, shared his thoughts recently on his old company’s newest iPad, the iPad Air, saying he’s disappointed there isn’t a larger storage model.

"I was on a plane and missed all of the keynote. When I finally took a look at the devices, the iPads didn't hit my needs,” he told an audience at App World in London this week, according to TechRadar. Improvements to the iPad Air from its predecessor include a bump up to the faster, 64-bit A7 processor, and the introduction of a lighter, thinner casing. But those new specs weren't what Wozniak was looking for, he explained.

"Yes it's thinner, but I wanted storage. I don't have broadband at home, and you can't get great broadband connection in hotels, so I carry all my personal media in the iPad. So I was hoping Apple has a 256 GB iPad," said Wozniak. "I was hoping for more storage so I could put every episode of 'Big Bang Theory' on my iPad. So I emailed my wife and said, 'Nope, I don't want one of those.'"

So why didn’t Apple come forward with a 256-GB iPad? It’s likely the company hopes most users use the iCloud for content storage and streaming, rendering all that expensive, on-board storage space unnecessary.

A better question: Why doesn’t Wozniak have broadband at home?

“It's because of my lousy phone company,” he told the crowd. "I can't order a movie from iTunes and watch it straight away. I could wait for it, but I get bored by then.”

Wozniak's diss of the company he helped found isn't exactly surprising: Steve Jobs’ former partner is known for being “chatty” when it comes to his doubts regarding the company’s activity.

‘Gravity’ Soars Past $300 Million At Worldwide Box Office

The box office steamroller that is Warner Bros.’ “Gravity” reached $300 million worldwide Wednesday, with domestic grosses outstanding at nearly $175 million.

Internationally, the 3D B.O. phenom, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, reached $115.6 million from 51 territories. There’s plenty more space for “Gravity” to grow overseas, with major markets like France, the U.K., China and Japan yet to come.

So far, the film’s top-grossing international market is Russia, with $17.6 million in three weeks. Australia and Germany follow, having contributed north of $11 million each locally.

The global endgame for “Gravity” is tough to call, though domestically, the film could easily soar past $250 million. The pic’s overseas benchmark depends on how it’s embraced in 3D-hungry China, as well as the more mature European markets still to come.

“Gravity” is already this year’s 10th-highest grossing film domestically.

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Casts Jamie Dornan As Christian Grey

Irish actor Jamie Dornan has landed the part of Christian Grey in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” sources have confirmed.

Dornan was among a handful of young heartthrobs to read for the role late last week, an individual familiar with the project told TheWrap. His main competition appears to have been up-and-coming Australian actor Luke Bracey, who stars in Max Landis’ directorial debut “Me Him Her.”

Dornan is being hired to replace Charlie Hunnam, who dropped out of the hotly-anticipated project last week, citing a lack of preparation time due to his TV schedule for “Sons of Anarchy.” 

Tom Hardy To Play Elton John In "Rocketman"

Tom Hardy has agreed to play Elton John in Rocket Pictures’ “Rocketman,” which will be distributed in the U.S. by Focus Features, the film’s producers announced today.

Michael Gracey is directing from an original screenplay by Oscar nominee Lee Hall (“War Horse”). Production will begin in fall 2014.

The Hardy deal caps a lengthy search to cast the role of Elton in the movie, which will be co-financed by AI Film.

Clint Eastwood's Wife FILES FOR DIVORCE

Clint Eastwood's wife, Dina, has filed for divorce, sources have confirmed.

Dina -- withdrew the legal documents she filed last month, asking for a formal separation. But on Tuesday, Dina filed for divorce based on irreconcilable differences.

In the documents, Dina is asking for full physical custody of their 16-year-old daughter Morgan.

Dina wants spousal support. And, of course, Dina wants Clint to foot the bill for attorney's fees.

The couple was married in 1996. Clint has 8 children, but 7 are from previous relationships.

Mark Zuckerberg Just Spent More Than $30 Million Buying 4 Neighboring Houses For Privacy

Mark Zuckerberg just made an unusual purchase.

Well, four purchases.

Facebook's billionaire founder bought four homes surrounding his current home near Palo Alto, Mercury News reports. The houses cost him more than $30 million, including one 2,600 square-foot home that cost $14 million. (His own home is twice as large at 5,000 square-feet and cost half as much.)

Larry Page made a similar move a few years ago so he could build a 6,000-square-foot mansion. But Zuckerberg's reason is different. He doesn't want to live in excess, he just wants a little privacy. Zuckerberg reportedly took action after he learned that a developer wanted to purchase one of his neighbor's homes and use the fact that Zuckerberg lived close by as a marketing tactic. He started purchasing the homes last December. Zuckerberg will lease the four homes he just bought back to its current residents.

It's sad yet ironic that Zuckerberg has to go through great lengths to protect his privacy. Yesterday news broke that Facebook was removing yet another privacy feature. Soon, even people who wish to remain hidden from Facebook searches will have no choice but to be searchable on the social network.

Robert Pattinson SELLING Los Feliz Home For $6.75 Million

Robert Pattinson listed the Los Feliz mansion he shared with Kristen Stewart for $6.75 million about a month ago, and now interior photos of the place have finally popped up.

The British actor purchased the 4,026-square-foot home in September 2011 for $6.25 million from Kareem-Abdul Jabbar, and prior to that it was owned by ER star Noah Wylie. The Spanish-style home has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, but it sits on an acre and a half of land and there is plenty of space to entertain as the property features a 150-person screening room and a massive backyard.

As for Prince George's parents, Kate looked gorgeous in a cream outfit from Alexander McQueen -- and was sporting a matching fascinator. William wore a crisp navy blue suit and light blue tie.

The baptism has a very exclusive guest list, as only 22 people were invited to the ceremony -- including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, Prince Harry, Pippa Middleton, Kate' brother James and her parents Michael and Carole Middleton.

For those unfamiliar -- zonkeys are donkeys painted to look like zebras ... a long-standing TJ thing.

After hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet revealed that Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke and Bill Engvall and Emma Slater were the bottom two, they announced that both pairs were safe.

"Last week, at the end of the show we had a technical problem," Bergeron explained. "The incorrect phone numbers were shown. And they have resulted in some votes accidentally cast for the wrong couple. So, in fairness we have decided to discard all the viewer votes and not eliminate anyone this week."

270-Degree Movie Screen: Coming Soon to a Theater Near You?

Three dimensions? Been there, done that. How about three walls?

Digital downloads and streaming services, along with large flat-screen televisions and surround-sound stereo systems, are making a strong argument for just staying in for the night. Why pay a bunch of money to sit in a theater with a bunch of rude, texting-obsessed strangers (we're looking at you, Madonna) when you can almost completely recreate the current cinema experience in the privacy of your own home, and with literally thousands of titles available with the click of a button?

It's no secret that the cinema experience must become more unique, exclusive, and immersive — or else it runs the risk of fading away completely. There has to be a reason to go to the movies. Audiences have to get something out of going to a theater, something that they'll miss if they just "wait for the Blu-ray." Imax has become more popular in an attempt to get more butts in theater seats (and at a higher ticket price), as well as 3-D (ditto). And now, a new gimmick has emerged that attempts to make watching a movie even more visually engrossing than just having a loose bolt float toward your face (hat-tip to "Gravity").

A South Korean cinema chain has developed movie viewing that literally surrounds you with the film by incorporating not one but three separate "screens." ScreenX, developed by CJ CGV Co. Ltd., makes use of side walls as additional projection points to create a 270-degree view of the film. Think the "King Kong 3-D" ride at Universal Studios but without anything going on behind you (and sans the rocking tour bus, too, of course).

CeeLo Green Pleads NOT GUILTY To Ecstasy Charge

CeeLo Green just pled not guilty to a charge of giving a woman ecstasy last year before having sex with her.

The singer had arrived with his lawyer Blair Berk to the criminal court house moments ago to be arraigned. He is currently posting $30,000 bond and is expected to turn himself in to authorities for booking within 24 hours.

Another hearing has been set for next month. CeeLo must be present. If convicted, he faces up to four years in state prison.

Due to insufficient evidence, prosecutors cleared Green of charges he also sexually assaulted the woman during the incident.

On his way into court, CeeLo told us he's relieved and not scared -- relieved that he's not being charged with sexual assault, and not scared of the drug charge.

Kelly Clarkson is a married woman!

The "Since You've Been Gone" singer tied the knot with fiancé Brandon Blackstock in a secret wedding in Walland, Tennessee on Sunday.

On Monday, the first American Idol posted the picture above from the happy day with the caption, “We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!”

Kelly threw fans off the wedding scent over the summer when she told Ryan Seacrest that she was planning to elope with Brandon, who is Reba McEntire's stepson, due to wedding stress. The 31-year-old told Seacrest, "I'm so over it. It's so overwhelming. We're just doing a lot - touring, and the wedding, and the Christmas album...so I'm over the wedding part." But it looks like that statement was just a clever rouse!

According to Blackberry's website, it's "one of America's most celebrated intimate luxury hotels beckons discerning guests who aspire to escape modern-day frenzy and slip into a Blackberry state of mind." Sounds pretty sweet to us! The hotel built in the '70s and is situated near Nashville - and sits on 4,200 acres in the Great Smoky Mountains.

The couple has been engaged since December 2012. Brandon has two children, Savannah and Seth, from a previous marriage, who were present at the nuptials.

CeeLo Green CLEARED Of Sexual Assault -- Charged with Ecstasy Possession

The L.A. County D.A. will CLEAR CeeLo Green of charges he sexually assaulted a woman by allegedly slipping a drug in her drink, sources can confirm. CeeLo will, however, be charged with the felony of furnishing ecstasy.

Sources say the D.A. will officially REJECT the sexual assault case this morning.  A woman had claimed she and CeeLo went to a sushi joint in downtown L.A. more than a year ago.  She told cops the star of "The Voice" had slipped ecstasy in her drink and the next thing she knew she was naked in his bed.

Law enforcement sources tell us, authorities had problems with the woman's story ... one of which was that she and CeeLo had been dating for months and had already been intimate.

CeeLo not only denied the allegations ... he encouraged the D.A. and the LAPD to fully investigate.  In the end, sources learned the D.A. will reject the sexual assault case because of insufficient evidence.

As for the drug charge ... law enforcement sources say CeeLo will be charged with 1 count of furnishing ecstasy ... a felony, and he may be arraigned as early as this afternoon.

Sir Christopher Lee was presented with a BFI Fellowship by Johnny Depp over the weekend.

The Lord of the Rings actor's outstanding contribution to film and television was recognized at the 57th London Film Festival Awards.

Depp made a surprise appearance at the ceremony to honour Lee with the highest accolade the organisation gives out.

'Endless Love' Trailer -- FIRST LOOK

The new trailer for Universal Pictures’ Endless Love remake sets up the classic story of rich girl meets boy from the wrong side of the tracks. Magic Mike’s Alex Pettyfer and newcomer Gabriella Wilde (who can be seen in the upcoming remake of Carrie) play the film’s star-crossed lovers obliviously caught up in a steamy coming-of-age romance.

Things take a turn for the dramatic when Wilde’s on screen father (played by Star Trek’s Bruce Greenwood) gets wind of their relationship, begins uncovering Pettyfer’s dark past, and tries to stop his daughter’s whirlwind relationship.

Endless Love opens Valentine’s Day 2014.

Box Office: ‘Gravity’ Wins Again With $31 Million

 

The pull of “Gravity” was the most powerful force at the box office for a third consecutive weekend, as the 3D space epic dominated with $31 million.

The Sandra Bullock-George Clooney thriller blew away three wide openers – a remake of the horror thriller “Carrie,” Sly Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “Escape Plan” and the WikiLeaks drama “The Fifth Estate” – and has become a blockbuster for Warner Bros. Since opening on Oct. 4,

“Gravity” has taken in $170 million domestically and more than $250 million worldwide.

Will Smith spends his breaks between filming in this $2.5 million double decker trailer, and courtesy of HGTV, we get a sneak peek inside the extravagant mobile home.

The vehicle features a roof that raises at the touch of a button, as well as $100K of technology! There are 14 televisions and a 30 person screening room located on the bus!

The retailer spent another $100K on custom built-in granite counter-tops and leather ceilings.

There is a massive lounge on the second floor where the A-list actor can conduct business meetings in private. Something else he can do in private? Rinse off in a specialized steam shower with opaque doors.

The cost of the pricey ride? A whopping $9000 a week!
