Seth Rogen and James Franco: N. Korea Complains To UN Movie Is An Act of War

Ja Song Nam -- the North’s Ambassador to the United Nations -- filed a formal complaint with the U.N. saying the U.S. government should squash the film's release ... because the central storyline involves assassinating Kim Jong-un.

Nam explains, "To allow the production and distribution of such a film on the assassination of an incumbent Head of a sovereign State should be regarded as the most undisguised sponsoring of terrorism as well as an act of war."

So far, no response from Rogen ... but earlier this month when North Korea first complained, he tweeted, "People don't usually wanna kill me for one of my movies until after they've paid 12 bucks for it."

At age 29 and with two N.B.A. titles now in his possession, James decided Friday to rejoin the Cavaliers, for whom he played in the first seven seasons of his storied professional career. Vilified in Cleveland when he decided to leave for the Heat, James is likely to find that all is forgiven, and more, as he embarks on an effort to bring a championship to a city that has not celebrated one in any major sport in 50 years.

James, who grew up in nearby Akron, Ohio, and is widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of his generation, made the announcement through Sports Illustrated’s website, saying: “My relationship with northeast Ohio is bigger than basketball. I didn’t realize that four years ago. I do now.”

Dr. Dre: I'm Losing Billions To Fake Beats From China

Dr. Dre -- who just made a fortune selling off Beats headphones -- wants to stop cheap, Chinese-made knockoffs from jacking his reputation ... so his company is suing alleged counterfeiters for what could easily be BILLIONS of dollars!

In the lawsuit, Beats claims a nefarious group of unnamed websites based in China ... are getting filthy rich selling cheaply-made, counterfeit headphones, bearing the red "b" logo -- and raking in more than $135 BILLION in revenue.

Beats points out it's the headphone of choice for Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Diddy and tons of other celebs ... according to the lawsuit, obtained by sources -- so it has a vested interest in protecting its trademark.

Beats is suing to stop all sales of the forgeries ... and to take over all of the domain names used by websites hawking the fakes.

Joy Behar: Hasselbeck’s ‘Hate-Filled Remark’ About Rosie Was ‘Below the Belt’

The View veteran Joy Behar joined Don Lemon on CNN Wednesday night to share her thoughts on the internal politics surrounding the daytime show. Behar welcomed the idea of Rosie O’Donnell returning and scolded Elisabeth Hasselbeck for making a “hate-filled remark” at O’Donnell’s expense.

Hasselbeck called in to Fox & Friends early Wednesday morning and warned that O’Donnell will try to take control of The View. And not only that, Hasselbeck alleged O’Donnell used Barbara Walters‘ retirement as a comeback show and that O’Donnell hates America’s military.

Behar said it was “below the belt” for her to make that kind of “nasty” comment about O’Donnell. She called it a “hate-filled remark” but also laughingly dismissed it as nonsense because “everything’s fiction on Fox anyway.”

She told Lemon that there’s been more of a focus on fighting between hosts, possibly for ratings, and admitted that The View is not the same show that it used to be.

Sources connected to the case say... Justin's lawyer appeared in court today and plead no contest to misdemeanor vandalism.

We're told Justin will receive NO jail time. He will be placed on 1 year probation and be ordered to perform community service.

We're told Justin will also be ordered to pay restitution to the neighbor whose house he egged. The neighbor has repair bills totaling around $20,000. A big part of the house needs to be re-plastered ... and it's very expensive Venetian plaster.

We're told Justin's people will have something to say after the court appearance.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Bringing Rosie Back On 'The View' Is TREASON!

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is disgusted that "The View" is bringing Rosie O'Donnell back, as much as saying Rosie is a turncoat American.

Elisabeth -- who's on vacation from "Fox & Friends" --  called in to the show today to comment on the story that broke Tuesday ... that Rosie's coming back for a second round on "The View."

Elisabeth said, "Here comes to "The View" the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there."

Elisabeth and Rosie pretty much hated each other ... which ironically made the show compelling.

Piers Morgan: Brazil's Loss Was Epic! 'Worse Than Embarrassing'

Brazil's humiliating 7-1 loss to Germany wasn't just bad ... it might be the most EMBARRASSING thing that's ever happened to a World Cup team ... so says Piers Morgan.

The former CNN host -- and die-hard soccer fan -- was out at Madeo last night when he WENT OFF on Brazil ...

"The most incredible thing I've ever watched in my entire 49 years of watching football," Morgan said ... "It was like an abattoir. A footballing abattoir."

For the record, "abattoir" is a fancy French word for "slaughterhouse."

Buzz Aldrin Describes His 'UFO' Encounter During Apollo 11

Astronaut Edwin E. Aldrin Jr. walks on the surface of the moon, July 30, 1969, with seismogaphic equipment which he just set up. The flag like object on a pole is a solar wind experiment and in the background is the Lunar Landing Module.

"Engineer, American astronaut, and the second person to walk on the moon during the Apollo 11 moon landing" Buzz Aldrin participated July 8 in a Reddit AMA for the promotion of the 45th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, happening on July 20.

He touched on a sensitive topic: his apparent admission that he and other astronauts had seen a UFO during the Apollo 11 mission.

This is an old favorite of internet UFO conspiracy theorists (and, sadly, the Science Channel), who are convinced that Buzz Aldrin saw an alien ship of some kind during the Apollo 11 ride and that he's been covering it up and hiding that he's a UFO believer.

Pamela Anderson Files For Divorce From Rick Salomon

Pamela Anderson is pulling the plug on her marriage to Rick Salomon.

This will be Pam's second split from Salomon, whom she married in 2007 and stayed with all of 2 months.  She got the marriage annulled. She was also married to Tommy Lee and Kid Rock.

Pam went public in January, saying she married Salomon again.

Interesting timing ... Salomon, a world-class poker player, won $2.8 million in the World Series of Poker Big One for One Drop last Tuesday. Pamela filed on Thursday, so under the community property laws she gets half by the skin of her teeth ... unless there's a prenup.

In case you don't recognize Salomon, he's the one who co-starred with Paris Hilton in the famous sex tape, "One Night in Paris."

And then there's Pam's famous flick with Tommy Lee.

Queen Orders Prince Charles to Divorce Camilla Parker-Bowles

Recently celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary, royal couple Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall is allegedly going to have a divorce by the Queen's order. Reportedly known for swinging random threats at the royal family, Prince Charles was told by Queen Elizabeth to go ahead with the divorce and to stop pacifying his alcoholic wife, according to the July 14th print edition of Globe Magazine.

The Duchess of Cornwall is reportedly furious that the Queen prefers to give the throne to Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, if she decides to abdicate her post next year. So her plan is if she is not going to be queen then she could lock down a $350 million divorce settlement by threatening the palace to divulge family secrets.

But the queen has no intention paying the Duchess a dime and declared Charles' wife a disgrace and want her gone. "She also summoned Camilla to the palace and had a nifty chat with her, telling the duchess that she's a complete disgrace and that the family needs to be rid of her," Celebdirty Laundry reports.

We're told the deal could be sealed shortly and the announcement could be made as early as tomorrow.

Rosie would be joining Whoopi Goldberg and that's about it so far. The show is actively looking for replacements for Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy.

Leonardo DiCaprio: Heeeeeeere's Jack!

Leonardo DiCaprio can't handle the truth ... he's really starting to look like Jack Nicholson.

All work and no play makes Leo a dull boy.

Ellen DeGeneres: I Just Made a Fortune Flipping My New Mansion

Ellen DeGeneres just flipped the amazing house she bought just before New Year's -- after only living there a few months -- and the buyer was Napster co-founder Sean Parker ... who opened his wallet wide.

The Brody House -- yes, the place is so baller it has a name -- was sold to Parker for $55 million ... which means Ellen made a tidy $15 million profit. She bought it for $40 million.

We're told Parker approached Ellen and Portia late last month with the offer ... he went nuts over the famous house and Ellen's interior design.  We're told even though she never intended to flip the house, she couldn't refuse a good deal.  The escrow was all of 8 days. It closed last Thursday.

Jay Leno Has Late-Night Hosting Advice For Stephen Colbert

Jay Leno hosted The Tonight Show for 22 years and he spent almost all of that time atop the ratings, so he knows a thing or two about monologues, interviewing guests and what it takes to succeed as a late-night host on a major network.

And he thinks that Stephen Colbert is going to be great as David Letterman's replacement when the Colbert Report host assumes the Late Show throne at CBS next year.

"I think it's a real good choice," Leno told E! News' Jesse Giddings. "He's really funny and he's paid his dues. You know the people that do well at those jobs are the people that've paid their dues doing similar jobs, being a comedian on the road, doing a show on Comedy Central."

Joel McHale and Tony Hale Score Drugs In 'Comedians in Cars Getting Cocaine'

That’s one of the many takeaways from “Comedians in Cars Getting Cocaine,” The Soup‘s Joel McHale-hosted spoof of Jerry Seinfeld’s friendlier, Coffee web series. The video shows the cult-sitcom star picking up the, um, other cult-sitcom star for a nice top-down ride around Southern California.

They discuss Arrested Development, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and how Tony Hale likes to numb away his shameful past with the power of cocaine.

Funny stuff! And hey, it’s not a bad day for an on-point homage to Jerry’s work (complete with light jazz!), given that today marks the 25th anniversary of the premiere of Seinfeld.

Shia LaBeouf Hits A Home Run With Baseball Therapy

Shia LaBeouf got a chance to let of some steam as he appeared to be in high spirits while playing a game of baseball in Venice, CA over the holiday weekend. Nothing like a little bit of America's pastime to cure what ails you!

After going through a tumultuous week in which his actions in New York City prompted an arrest, the 28-year-old actor seems to have taken things in stride, checking himself into a celebrity-frequented treatment facility in Hollywood.

This isn't the first time the former Transformers star had sought treatment but with his latest antics, he's taking things a bit more serious.

"Shia understands that these recent actions are a symptom of a larger health problem and he has taken the first of many necessary steps towards recovery," his rep said in a statement. "Contrary to previous erroneous reports, Shia LaBeouf has not checked into a rehabilitation facility but he is voluntarily receiving treatment for alcohol addiction."

Box Office: ‘Transformers 4,’ ‘Tammy’ Top Dreadful July 4th Weekend

Transformers: Age of Extinction” topped a Fourth of July holiday that let out a whimper at the box office instead of a bang.

The giant robots sequel netted $36.4 million in its second week of release from 4,233 locations, pushing the $210 million production to $174.7 million domestically, according to studio estimates.

Among the crop of new releases, New Line’s “Tammy” fared the best, wrangling $32.9 million across 3,400 screens over its first five days, $21.2 million of it coming from the weekend. That’s a lower figure than pre-release tracking had suggested it would do, with most analysts predicting a debut of $40 million over its first five days in theaters.

The Melissa McCarthy comedy cost a modest $20 million to produce, so its opening figure still puts it on the path to profitability.

Warner Bros. distribution chief Dan Fellman said credit goes to McCarthy for bringing in crowds.

Joan Rivers Storms Out of CNN Interview: ‘Shut Up!’

Joan Rivers abruptly ended an interview on CNN Saturday after she grew frustrated with weekend host Fredricka Whitfield's questions, which she characterized as a “negative” attack rather than interview about a comedy book. “You know, you have some shock value to you,” the CNN anchor observed. “The cover of your book, you're wearing a fur and you knew that there would probably be animal rights activists…”

The E! host became fed up with the interview and she angrily cut her off, saying she was the wrong person to interview her.
