Hank Azaria Buys $9.2 Million Co-Op On Central Park West
Actor Hank Azaria just purchased this NYC co-op on Central Park West for $9.2 million. The actor picked up the pad after selling another co-op for $8 million just last year.
The historic building, built in 1928, is right near the Museum of Natural History and the Lincoln Center. The property boasts 3 bedrooms, as well as design details like picture windows, wood burning fireplaces, and direct elevator service, which according to listing agent Valerie Artzt, is "a rare and desirable amenity."
The place was decorated by the previous owners, and let's just say we hope the "Along Came Polly" star likes decor like Oriental rugs and mounted antlers.
CBS Cancels ‘The Crazy Ones’, ‘Friends With Better Lives’, ‘Bad Teacher’, ‘Intelligence’ & ‘Hostages’
After picking up five new drama series and two new comedy series yesterday — plus previously ordered straight-to-series Battle Creek — CBS proceeded with cancelling all of its freshman bubble shows. That includes fall comedy The Crazy Ones, which marked the TV return of Robin Williams; drama Hostages, and midseason entries Friends With Better Lives, Bad Teacher and Intelligence. That means that the only freshman CBS series to make it to Season 2 are comedies The Millers and Mom. Meanwhile, the only returning series still on the bubble, veteran The Mentalist, has been renewed.
The demise of Intelligence and the long-forgotten Hostages was fully expected as neither made a mark in the Monday 10 PM time slot though there was some argument made about procedural Intelligence. Friends With Better Lives, which had been envisioned as a potential successor to How I Met Your Mother and launched behind the series finale of the long-running CBS comedy, had a shot at a renewal and had supporters at CBS. I hear producer 20th TV may shop it elsewhere. For Bad Teacher, the cancellation comes only three episodes into its run. The comedy, based on the hit movie, exceeded ratings expectations in its debut but dropped off in Episodes 2 and 3. Still, some thought CBS would wait until after the upfronts to make a decision on its future to give it more time.
James Franco Explains His Nearly Nude Selfie On 'Late Show With David Letterman'
He's the king of the selfies!
And now even David Letterman wants to know about James Franco's fascination with selfies! When the Palo Alto actor appeared on Late Show with David Letterman, the hilarious host took the opportunity to confront the actor about his penchant for posting racy selifes and the constant controversy surrounding his Instagram account.
"To me it's just a fun thing. It's something I don't put a ton of thought into but it gets a lot of attention. It gets a lot of attention. I have a ton of followers on Instagram."
In the sit down, the 36-year-old even likened his recent hand-down-the-tighty-whities shot to the Britney Spears' infamous head-shaving meltdown.
Franco explained, "Like that Britney Spears shaved head moment, where it's sort of like, 'All right, you want me? Here you can have me, but I am going to be really ugly.' You know what I mean?"
And while he has gotten a lot of flack for some of his pics, the sexy actor cautioned Dave and any other critics, by saying, "If you don't want to see it … don't follow me on Instagram!"

Forbes To Dr. Dre: Not So Fast, You're NO Billionaire
Dr. Dre better stop counting his chickens before they hatch -- calling himself the "first billionaire in hip hop" -- a representative for Forbes tells sources, once the $3.2 Billion Apple deal is finalized ... the rap mogul will NOT hit the billion dollar mark.
Forbes Assistant Managing Editor for Wealth says, they've done the math, and after state and federal taxes, Dre will be worth in the neighborhood of $800 million.
It appears Dre only owns 25% of the company ... so the max he'd make off the sale is $800 MILLION. After state and federal taxes, he's left with $480 MILLION, and when you add in Dre's other assets, that's how Forbes now comes up with $800 MILLION. Close but no cigar.
The editor says, "Not quite enough to debut on the Forbes 400 but plenty for bragging rights.”

Chris Brown: Ordered To Stay In Jail For 131 More Days
Chris Brown has just been sentenced to spend another 4-plus months in jail ... for violating his probation in the Rihanna case ... but the reality is, he could be released by week's end.
Brown was in court Friday afternoon ... where he admitted he violated his probation by getting into a fight with a dude in Washington D.C.
That's all the judge needed to hear. He sentenced Chris to 1 year in jail. HOWEVER, Chris got credit for 116 days he spent in rehab, and another 59 days behind bars. That leaves 131 days in the pokey.
But we're told the L.A. County Sheriff's Department has been releasing inmates sentenced to 1 year after 240 days. And here's the thing. Chris gets credit for 2 days for every 1 he served behind bars, so when you add it up, he has credit for 234 days -- 6 days shy. So he could be released in days.
The judge could have gone a lot harder -- 4 years in prison. But Chris got a break because the judge took into account he was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which could account for some of the violence.
The judge also ordered Chris to attend therapy sessions with a shrink 2 times a week. And he must submit to random drug testing 3 times a week.
Chris is not out of the legal woods ... his D.C. assault trial is set to start in the following months.
NBA Picks Dick Parsons As Clippers CEO
There's a new man in charge of the L.A. Clippers ... at least temporarily -- he's powerful, he's established and he's black.
Dick Parsons -- the former head of both Time Warner and Citigroup -- has assumed the reigns of interim CEO of the Los Angeles Clippers ... in the wake of the lifetime suspension of Donald Sterling.
Commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement moments ago ... saying, "I believe the hiring of Dick Parsons will bring extraordinary leadership and immediate stability to the Clippers organization."
"Dick’s credentials as a proven chief executive speak for themselves and I am extremely grateful he accepted this responsibility."
Parsons also issued a statement ... saying, "Like most Americans, I have been deeply troubled by the pain the Clippers’ team, fans and partners have endured. A lifelong fan of the NBA, I am firmly committed to the values and principles it is defending, and I completely support Adam’s leadership in navigating the challenges facing the team and the league."
"The Clippers are a resilient organization with a brilliant coach and equally talented and dedicated athletes and staff who have demonstrated great strength of character during a time of adversity. I am honored to be asked to work with them, build on their values and accomplishments, and help them open a new, inspiring era for their team.
Parsons did not go into detail on his policy regarding posting photos of black people on Instagram ... but we're sure it's more liberal than Sterling's.
Sherri Shepherd's Husband Files For Divorce
Sherri Shepherd's husband, Lamar Sally, has filed for divorce, sources have confirmed.
According to court documents, Sally filed the papers on May 2. They have no children together. The couple was married at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago in August 2011.
Lamar is being represented by Mark Vincent Kaplan ... who famously represented Kevin Federline during his divorce from Britney Spears.
Shepherd divorced her first husband of eight years, Jeff Tarpley, in 2009 after she learned he was having an affair. She has a son from her previous marriage.
NBC Renews ‘Hannibal,’ ‘About a Boy’; Cancels ‘Revolution,’ ‘Community’
NBC has renewed “Hannibal” for a third season. Comedy “About a Boy” gets a pickup for season two.
Dramas “Revolution” and
“Believe,” as well as cult comedy “Community,” have been canceled after
two, one and five seasons, respectively. NBC also announced that it was
cancelling DJ Nash’s freshman midseason shows “Growing Up Fisher,” which
was narrated by Jason Bateman and starred J. K. Simmons and Jenna
Elfman, and “Crisis,” the Dermot Mulroney-starring drama centering
around a school bus rescue.
“Hannibal” had been on the fence for a pickup, but its hard core fan base and international appeal put it over the top. NBC noted that the edgy show derived from the “Silence of the Lambs” franchise is the youngest-skewing 10 p.m. drama on NBC, ABC or CBS.
“Hannibal” is also a good bargain
for NBC as it is produced by Gaumont Intl. TV and Sony Pictures TV
Networks with financing from overseas outlets that allows NBC to pays
more modest license fee than a typical U.S.-produced drama. The cost
issue was not the only factor in securing the renewal of the series,
created and exec produced by Bryan Fuller, but it didn’t hurt.
ABC Renews ‘The Middle,’ ‘Grey's Anatomy,’ ‘Scandal’ And ‘Revenge’
It was a good night for Shonda Rhimes at ABC. The network picked up her new series, “How to Get Away with Murder,” as well as passing out renewals for her other two series: “Grey's Anatomy” and “Scandal.” Sunday night soap opera “Revenge” also got a season renewal, along with Wednesday's lead-off comedy, “The Middle.”
This will be the 11th season for “Grey's Anatomy,” as the medical drama bids farewell to original cast-member Sandra Oh. Meanwhile, both “Scandal” and “Revenge” are heading into their fourth seasons, with plenty of jaw-dropping twists and turns ahead for their fans.
“The Middle” has been a quiet performer for the network on Wednesday nights. While it hasn't gotten as much buzz over the years as its flashier neighbor, “Modern Family” — also on Wednesdays — it has found a loyal audience, becoming a solid lead-off show for the night. And now, like “Modern Family,” it can celebrate a sixth season renewal.
The news isn't as good for freshman sitcom “Trophy Wife,” which has been cancelled. The comedy — starring Bradley Whitford, Malin Akerman, Michaela Watkins and Marcia Gay Harden — struggled to find an audience on Tuesday nights. It also struggled to get out from under the negative stigma its misleading title gave potential viewers.

Dr. Dre Getting $3 BILLION For Beats, Apple Deal Reportedly Close
Dr. Dre could be days away from being the first rapper turned BILLIONAIRE ... thanks to a mega-deal for Apple to snatch up his Beats Electronics brand.
Apple will reportedly buy Beats for a whopping $3.2 BILLION -- and since Dre and Interscope honcho Jimmy Iovine created the brand ... it's a safe bet they will walk away with a huge chunk of that cash.
Dre and Jimmy created the brand back in 2008 with headphones -- but now they're also making bank off speakers, car audio systems, and a streaming service.
The deal could close next week ... and would be Apple's biggest acquisition ever.
Dre came in #2 on Forbes' most recent list of hip hop's wealthiest artists -- with a net worth of $550 million ... while Diddy was #1 at $700 million.
The Apple deal -- first reported by Variety -- could easily push the Doc to the top of that list. This would also explain his purchase of Tom Brady's mansion.

Demi Moore Reportedly Lists NYC Triplex And Ground-Floor Unit At The San Remo For $75 Million
Demi Moore is "quietly showing" her triplex in New York City's famed San Remo building, and according to the NY Post, the actress has listed both the triplex and a two-bedroom bottom-floor unit for a total of $75 million. $75 million!?
We can't seem to find any interior shots of the place, but here's what we know: The triplex is at the top of the south tower of the building, and Moore purchased it in 1987 with then-hubby Bruce Willis. Much like the top floor unit in the north tower, this penthouse was reportedly combined with part of the tower's mechanical and storage space above to create a three-story unit with over 7,000-square-feet of living space, multiple terraces and 360-degree views from all floors. However, it's been reported elsewhere that the unit is really only two stories and the "third" floor counts for maybe half a story.
Amenities in the Emery Roth-designed building include a state-of-the-art health club, a bike room, a multi-purpose community room and private storage lockers, and after becoming a co-op in the 1970s, all 136 apartments have all been outfitted with modern appliances and fixtures as well as thermal window glass.
Notable current/past celeb residents include Steven Spielberg, Bono, the late Steve Jobs, Glenn Close, Tiger Woods, Diane Keaton and Dustin Hoffman, who sold his triplex for $21 million in February.
While $75 million sounds a bit high (especially compared to Hoffman's ~8,000-square-foot unit), consider this: Demi is on the top floor and facing Central Park, Hoffman was not. And as you may recall, last year Demi made the news when she demanded spousal support from ex-hubby Ashton Kutcher to help pay for the renovations on the apartment, and at the time it was estimated to be worth $25-40 million. All that info (combined with the inclusion of the bottom floor unit) could actually put this listing in the right price range.
Shelly Sterling: If We're Forced to Sell Clippers, I Want to Control Sale, Or Else
Shelly Sterling will take legal action against the NBA
if she doesn't have control over her interest in the event of a forced
sale of the team. But her lawyer says she is adamant ... the NBA has no
right to strip her of her 50% ownership, because "she's an innocent
victim."
Sources connected with the Sterling family tell us ... Shelly is actually more involved in the team than Donald Sterling, and she would definitely wants to remain an owner, even if Donald is forced out.
Shelly's lawyer, Pierce O'Donnell, tells sources, he is currently in talks with the NBA in an effort to avoid a family sale. O'Donnell is demanding that the NBA allow her to retain her 50% interest. O'Donnell has explained to NBA honchos, Shelly and Donald have led separate lives for years, living miles away from each other, and they do not share the same views.
O'Donnell says, "She's done nothing wrong. She's an innocent spouse," adding, "Shelly loves the team and she will resist any effort to strip her involuntarily of her ownership interest."
And, even if a court orders an involuntary sale of the team, Shelly will demand that she have the power to control the sale. She fears if the sale gets hung up for years in litigation, it would grossly devalue the team.

Justin Bieber to Seth Rogen: Dude, Sorry I Didn't Treat You Like a King
Justin Bieber has had about enough of Seth Rogen's smack talking.
The "Neighbors" star, 32, has
been a vocal opponent of the 20-year-old Canadian singer's shenanigans,
openly criticizing his bad behavior on several occasions this year,
beginning in January when Bieber was arrested up until earlier this
week. Now, for the first time, the Biebs is having his say:
While Bieber may still love
Rogen's movies, he didn't love him enough to spell his name correctly —
or maybe he misspelled it on purpose. Either way, he was referring to
Rogen telling Howard Stern earlier this week that the "Boyfriend" singer
wasn't nice when they've met.
"I met him a few times," Rogen
said Monday. "He's a good example of someone who you meet, who you think
you are going to hate and then you get to hate him. You meet him and he
lives up to every one of your expectations."
During their first interaction,
backstage at a German talk show, Rogen was told Bieber wanted to meet
him, but the drama-plagued singer acted like Rogen was the one who
requested the introduction.

Ron Howard Lists Connecticut Estate For $27.5 Million
Ron Howard just listed his sprawling Connecticut estate for a whopping $27.5 million!
The Hollywood director and wife Cheryl moved their family to the East coast in 1985, but now that their kids are grown, the couple want to utilize their other residences so they've decided to sell.
The 17,000 square-foot home boasts 6 bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms, as well as 4 half bathrooms. Other amenities include a home theater, indoor swimming pool, library, wine cellar, and gym.
Bruce Willis And Wife Emma Heming Welcome Second Daughter Evelyn Penn
Bruce Willis and wife Emma Heming welcomed their second daughter Evelyn Penn in Los Angeles on Monday, Us Weekly reports.
It was revealed the couple were expecting their second child in December 2013.
The actor and the British beauty are also parents to daughter Mabel Ray, who was born in 2012. The action star was previously married to Demi Moore from 1987-2000, and they share daughters Rumor, 25, Scout, 22, and Tallulah, 19.
The Die Hard star is surrounded by girls, but it doesn't faze him!
"It's all good. I haven't found a time yet that's bad. I get to learn a lot more about women than most men do - because it's just me and 20 women around me," he previously explained about being outnumbered in his household.
Zac Efron And Seth Rogen Mock James Franco's Teen Texting Scandal On Jimmy Fallon
Zac Efron and Seth Rogen got all dolled up for Jimmy Kimmel's "Ew" sketch on last night's The Tonight Show.
In the fun-filled sketch, Fallon plays Sara a "ew"-spewing tween who is joined by bestie Allison (Rogen) and her friend Britney (Efron).
Rogen opted not to shave and sported his trademark beard despite wearing a sun dress. While the Knocked Up funny man looked pretty awkward in his girly ensemble, the High School Musical alum actually looked quite fetching in his long brunette wig, flower headband, and a short floral dress.
Watch as the three men take selfies and twerk it out to Lil Jon's "Turn Down for What."
While we love a good tweak, our favorite part is when the boys poke fun at their friend James Franco's recent texting scandal with a teen girl. In the sketch they mention Franco, and almost instantly all three gals get a text from the selfie-loving star. If you're gonna text a teenager (who was of age) for a hookup and then admit to it -- you better have a good sense of humor about it.
Speaking of funny business, Rogen and Efron's new comedy, Neighbors, moves into theaters on May 9. The film follows a young couple with a newborn baby (played by Rogen and Rose Byrne), who face some major difficulties when they are realize they are living next to a wild fraternity house with some unruly frat boys (Efron and Dave Franco).

Leonardo DiCaprio Buys Green Residence In New York City For $10 Million
Leonardo DiCaprio has purchased a $10 million apartment at the health-centric Delos building in New York's Greenwich Village, and though he recently picked up another pad in the Big Apple, this one looks like it would make for a better primary residence!
Though the home is only 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, it takes up the entire fourth floor of the building and boasts facilities including vitamin C-infused showers, purified air and water and a circulated aromatherapy air supply. It also has posture-supportive heat reflexology flooring and dawn simulation provided by a circadian lighting design. Umm, did we just time travel into the future?!
While the drawings above (and in the gallery below) are merely renderings for all of the residences, it's safe to say that the spa-like and zen vibe is the main thing that attracted the 39-year-old star. And there's one bonus, at least for now: Leo is allowed to use a $1 million parking space that comes with the building’s 8,000-square-foot duplex penthouse, which is currently still on the market.
George Clooney Set To Marry Fiancee Amal Alamuddin In September
George Clooney and fiancee Amal Alamuddin will wed in September, and the date has special significance because that month also marks their one year anniversary.
"If all goes as they are planning, Amal and George will be husband and wife within less than five months,’ a family friend revealed to DailyMail.
The notorious bachelor might want to get ready for quite the production, too! His Beirut-born bride-to-be and her clan will most likely want to keep with cultural traditions and host a large affair.
"George doesn’t want a huge to-do, but what he doesn’t really understand yet is that a 'small' wedding for a Lebanese family is around 200 people,’ the friend added.

Selena Gomez Lists Tarzana Starter Home For $3.5 Million
The fact that this is a starter home is kinda ridiculous, but technically this is the first property the pop singer purchased. And get this -- earlier this spring Selena Gomez upgraded to a mansion nearly twice the size of this one.
The 21-year-old starlet bought the Tarzana home from Jonah Hill in 2011 for $2.1 million, and after an extensive renovation, she's listed her former pad for $3.5 million. We agree with the listing agent who describes this as "most beautiful homes in the valley." From the gorgeously remodeled interior to the pool and patio, we're in love with this place! It's not likely that the home comes furnished (we spy tens of thousands of dollars worth of goodies from Restoration Hardware), but if it does, it's definitely worth the dough.
Beverly Hills Hotel Under Fire, CEO Says They've Been "Totally Unfairly Picked On"
The protests are getting louder across the street from the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, as the Beverly Hills city council is expected to consider a resolution Tuesday that would call on the Sultan of Brunei to sell the famed hotel.
"His policies of murdering and torturing gay and lesbian people and women have no place in a civilized society," said Lorri Jean, CEO of LA Gay & Lesbian Center.
Last week the sultan began implementing strict Sharia Law in the predominately Islamic and very oil-rich nation on the island of Borneo in southeast Asia, reports CBS News' Ben Tracy. The sultan's government runs the Brunei Investment Agency, which owns the Dorchester Collection, a portfolio of 10 hotels including the Beverly Hills and the Hotel Bel-Air.
The hotels have gotten caught up in controversy because the new laws in Brunei are incredibly harsh. They call for amputations and flogging of women who have abortions and stoning to death of gay men and lesbians
"What is this, 1814?" former "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno said at the protest Monday.

Diane Keaton On Woody Allen Controversy: "I Believe My Friend"
In her recent open letter to the New York Times, adoptive daughter Dylan Farrow pointed a finger not only at her adoptive father Woody Allen, once again under allegations of sexual abuse, but also at Diane Keaton: "You knew me when I was a little girl, Diane Keaton. Have you forgotten me?"
The 68-year-old actress, who had a brief fling with Allen in the 1970s just as their longterm screen partnership began, opened up about the deep and bitter feud between Allen and the Farrows, coming out in defense of the director in an interview with The Guardian. In regards to her name being dragged into Farrow's editorial, Keaton says: "Who else are they going to drag in? They have to drag someone in. I don't resent it, not for a second."
"I saw [Dylan] maybe three times," Keaton tells Guardian scribe Emma Brockes. "I didn't know her. It's not a bad accusation. I was never friends with Mia -- I was friendly." When asked how she feels about Dylan Farrow's accusation that she publicly defended the man who allegedly molested her, Keaton, classy, says, "I have nothing to say that about that. Except: I believe my friend."
Keaton also goes on to say "I love him" and that Allen is "the strongest person I've met in my life... He's made of steel." Who knew.
Donald Sterling: Lawyering Up To Sue NBA
Donald Sterling is on the hunt to hire a major L.A. law firm to sue the NBA for suspending him and attempting to strip him of ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Sources familiar with the situation say ... Sterling's people were in touch with several law firms last week, including the powerhouse firm Glaser Weil. Patty Glaser is one of the top litigators in the country and has repped scores of celebs, including Conan O'Brien and Keith Olbermann.
And this is ironic ... Paula Deen hired Glaser to defend her in the Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House case ... where Deen admitted during a deposition she used the N word, FYI, Deen's admission occurred long before Glaser took the case.
We've also learned Sterling's people have been in touch with the mega-law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart and Sullivan, a 650-member law firm specializing in business litigation.
Sources made it clear ... Sterling will not go down without a fight.
Mel Gibson: Battery Conviction To Be ERASED From Record
Mel Gibson will have his battery conviction ERASED from his record ... as if the Oksana Grigorieva mouth-punching incident NEVER happened ... sources have confirmed.
Mel's lawyer filed legal documents -- obtained by sources -- asking the judge to expunge his no contest plea from his record.
Gibson was charged with battery for hitting Grigorieva in the mouth, knocking out several veneers. He actually confessed to striking her in a sworn declaration in his custody case, admitting, "I slapped Oksana one time with an open hand in an attempt to bring her back to reality."
According to documents, Mel has completed ALL of the requirements the judge laid down after he copped a plea in March, 2011. Those requirements included 16 hours of community service and 52 weeks of counseling. He was also required to maintain "peaceful contact" with Grigorieva.
Gibson was placed on 3 years probation, which ended in March.
The hearing is set for later this month. The judge will allow Mel to withdraw his plea, the case will be dismissed and his criminal record will be expunged.

James Cameron and Fox Studios Sued For $1 BILLION
It's the worst ride since "It's a Small World" ... a virtual reality simulator of the Titanic disaster ... and now the woman who came up with it has filed a BILLION dollar lawsuit.
Faan Qin is suing James Cameron, 20th Century Fox, Paramount and others involved in the hit film, "Titanic" ... claiming they jacked her idea for a 3D ride that recreates the magical experience of crashing into an iceberg and sinking to a watery grave.
According to the lawsuit obtained by sources, Qin claims Cameron and the others copied her idea with something called "R.M.S. TITANIC-THE EXPERIENCE" -- featured in the O.C. and Orlando -- and they've have made a killing off of it.
Qin claims Cameron's attraction has made more than $343 million ... but she wants 3 times that.
Box Office: ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2' Swoops To $92 Million On Opening Weekend
“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” ignited the summer blockbuster movie season with a dominating $92 million U.S. debut at No. 1 this weekend. Sony's Marvel superhero sequel starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone was even more amazing abroad, and brought in a whopping $116 million from overseas this weekend.
The $208 million weekend globally brings its total at the worldwide box office to $370 million after three weeks. “This is a terrific opening here,” Sony's head of distribution Rory Bruer told TheWrap, “And when you put it together with the worldwide numbers, it's really stunning.”
Joel McHale Draws More Groans Than Giggles at White House Correspondents Dinner
Joel McHale warned the audience at the top of the night at Saturday's White House Correspondents’ Association dinner that they were in for a bumpy ride for good reason — most of the actor's off-color jokes elicited shock from the more uptight political crowd.
“Strap in. Here we go,” McHale said at the outset of his headlining act.
McHale's schtick started with a few good-natured jabs at President Obama, but the audience winced at a punch McHale swung at singer and fashion mogul Jessica Simpson, who was in attendance.
“I'm a big fan of President Obama. I think he's one of the all time great presidents — definitely in the top 50,” McHale joked.
