From the garlands and greenery to cozy throws and her own unique way of wrapping gifts, this definitely looks like somewhere wed want to sip wine and sit in front of a fireplace! Biel drew inspiration from Coco Chanel when it came to the Christmas tree, which she covered in pearls, black ribbon, and white leather flowers. We're so stealing that...
So what other tips did she have?
Bring in patterns in complementary colors. Vintage French fabrics are ideal candidates to mix and match with stripes. Go bold for bigger pieces (such as a broad-scale striped sofa) and try tight patterns for accessories like pillows and throws.
Create a cozy vibe for your interior by topping stacked books with a reclaimed slab of slate or wood. The low-slung arrangement creates an instantly relaxed atmosphere, and the tabletop material brings a rustic-industrial aesthetic to the space.
Kick reindeer motifs to the curb in favor of specialty wrapping papers (think: marble and houndstooth patterns). Banish stick-on bows; wrap boxes with thin ribbon or twine for a fresh twist. Use a wax stamp to adhere the ribbon for an elevated finishing touch.
