Alex Rodriguez BUYS $2.1 Million Miami Condo

Alex Rodriguez may be one of the highest paid major league baseball players in the world, but with a 211-game suspension for using performance-enhancing substances, it looks like he's being cautious with his finances, as evident from his latest real estate purchase.

After selling his waterfront Miami home for a whopping $30 million in May, the Yankees star has purchased a far more conservative $2.1 million residence at Mei Condominiums on the outskirts of Biscayne Bay.

The pad is just 1,725-square-feet with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, but with a fitness center, spa and infinity pool, plus 24-hour security and valet parking, it's still a very lux location. Amenities inside the condo include electronic shades, recessed lights, top-tier appliances and an ocean-facing patio. It's certainly not as impressive as his old place, which was over ten times the size of this one. But hey, don't feel too bad for the third baseman, he's still worth an estimated $300 million.
