Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally tied the knot. And they kept the nuptials a complete secret until today.
The wedding
took place Saturday in a small chapel on the property of their sprawling
Provencal estate, Chateau Miraval, in France. The nondenominational
civil ceremony was witnessed by family and friends — and, yes, their six
children took part in the wedding. Maddox and Pax walked Jolie down the
aisle, Zahara and Vivienne threw petals, and Shiloh and Knox were ring
bearers for the union, which was "very much a family affair."
In advance of the private
ceremony, Pitt and Jolie, who have been together since 2005, obtained a
marriage license from a judge in their home state of California. The
judge then traveled to France to conduct the ceremony. "They are
therefore married under Californian law," said the statement.
