Ringo Starr Lists U.K. Estate For $23.5 Million

Ringo Starr has listed his sprawling 200-acre estate in Cranleigh, Surrey, U.K., and while the exact price is a mystery, Dirt reports that it's "in the immediate vicinity of £15 million," which is a whopping $23.5 million.

Starr and his wife Barbara Bach purchased the estate for about $3 million in 1999, and they hired famed interior designer Nicky Haslam to completely re-do the brick manor house. The 18,332-square-foot main house has eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms, and there are five different reception rooms, along with an eat-in kitchen that's attached to a space adjacent to a terrace with stunning views of the estate. There's a movie theater and a gym, along with an indoor swimming pool.

The property, which is nicknamed Rydinghurst, has an indoor and outdoor equestrian ring, and in addition to a private lake and a helipad, there's a gatehouse and several cottages for staffers and guests.

Starr and Bach told The Sunday Times they're selling the dream estate because they seldom stay there and they're looking to make their Beverly Hills pad their permanent home. They purchased that pad in May 1991 for $3.2 million, and while it's not nearly as grandiose as this one, it has over 5,500 square feet of living space and sits on one acre of land.
