Walt Disney's former Palm Desert retreat is for sale for a very reasonable $535K. Although the house itself leaves something to be desired, the 2.7 acres of land with sweeping views of the Coachella Valley is worth every penny.
The modest estate boasts 1,400 square-feet of living space and 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. Not that sleeping quarters were all that important to the Disneyland founder, because during most of his visits he and his pals would sleep outside under the stars in sleeping bags!
The legendary animator even installed a zip line and concrete landing pad so that he and his buddies could whiz across the landscape.
Some A-list friends that have stayed at the homey oasis include Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Bob Hope, and Humphrey Bogart.
"It's not really the size of the house. It's the view and the history. It just takes your breath away when you walk into the house," real estate agent Jason Evans explains.
