Eric Stonestreet and KISS In Twitter Feud About Stonestreet’s Mom

In the past 24 hours, we’ve learned an important lesson from “Modern Family” star and Kansas City, Kan., native Eric Stonestreet: If you mess with his mom, you mess with him.

The actor posted an angry note on his Instagram account on Wednedsay, calling out Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of Kiss for being rude to his mom on a flight from Los Angeles to Kansas City.

“Gene tried to bully my mom out of her seat and when she said no, he said, it’s ok, I just bought the plane and then asked for HER autograph,” Stonestreet wrote.

“Then Paul called her Aunt Bee ... I can’t wait to run into you two old a-- makeup wearing f---- and tell you in person, you should have been nicer to my mom.”

Simmons and Stanley were en route to Kansas City for a benefit at their Overland Park restaurant, Rock & Brews, when they encountered Stonestreet’s mom.

"Someone posted a story which is blatantly untrue," Simmons said on Twitter about the incident. "The essence of it was that we were mean to somebody's mother. It's simply untrue."

“I actually waited so your mom could get off first,” Stanley replied to Stonestreet on Twitter. “The rest- a misunderstanding of joking. I apologize anyway. Good son.”

“Thank you for that,” Stonestreet replied to Stanley. “She did tell me you let her go first. I will tape my glow in the dark KISS posters back together now.”

We thought the two had Kissed and made up, but apparently Stonestreet's seemingly-sweet response was more on the salty side.

"Hey @DannyZuker," Stonestreet tweeted to "Modern Family" executive producer, "What's the definition of sarcasm? And can you, like, use it in a sentence please?"
