Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have finally reached a settlement regarding child support payments for their 6-year-old daughter, Nahla.
Superior Court Judge Scott
Gordon approved the agreement, which calls for the Oscar-winning actress
to pay $16,000 a month to her ex-boyfriend, or nearly $200,000 a year.
This is in effect until Nahla turns 19 or graduates from high school,
whichever comes first.
Berry, 47, will cover their
daughter's school tuition (estimated at $30,000 a year), but she and
Aubry, 38, will split health care expenses. Berry must also pay the
Canadian model a retroactive payment of $115,000 and $300,000 to his
attorneys to cover the costs of their custody dispute.
In 2012, the former couple was
involved in a bitter custody quarrel, with a judge blocking the actress
from moving their daughter to France. After a nearly year-long court
battle, Berry and Aubry eventually reached an agreement, and the two
share equal custody of Nahla.
The actress gave birth to Nahla in 2008 after dating Aubry for two years. They broke up in April 2010.
Berry wed Olivier Martinez, 48, in July 2013. They have an 8-month-old son, Maceo-Robert.
