President Obama joined in the bashing of L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling, saying "When ignorant folks want to advertise their ignorance, you don't really have to do anything. You just let them talk. That's what happened here."
Obama spoke to reporters in Malaysia during his diplomatic mission, but things quickly turned domestic in the wake of the audiotape.
Obama said Sterling's comments are an example of how "the United States continues to wrestle with the legacy of race and slavery and segregation."
The Prez also went on to say "That's still there, the vestiges of discrimination. We've made enormous strides, but you're going to continue to see this percolate up every so often."
Obama -- who called Sterling's remarks "incredibly offensive" --- said he's confident NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will do the right thing.
