It's been FIVE YEARS since Mel Gibson's 2006 DUI arrest -- and sources close to the actor, have said he hasn't had a drink ever since. The actor celebrated the sobriety milestone with friends last week.
Mel celebrated the occasion last Friday. The actor says he is ultimately grateful for his arrest that fateful night -- even if he had a rough couple years.
Mel was arrested on July 28, 2006.
